A walked through this area and took a few great photos. There’s lots of shopping and restaurants nearby but my uncle told me it wasn’t worth going inside.
Walked right in on a Monday afternoon with the Museum Pass. Walked around the first level with some impressive sculptures. Went down to the crypt and saw Voltaire, but the rest was uneventful. My wife and I are not fluent in French history so we didn't recognize many of the names. Overall, worth the visit.
I had no idea there was even a Pantheon in Paris until I followed a self-guided historic walking tour and ended up here. What a majestic building - amongst so many others in Paris. I didn’t go inside as it was not open when I got there well before 10 but even looking at the exterior as you walk the Latin Quarter is worth the effort.
We were thrilled to find that we could climb to the top of the Pantheon easily to see 360 degrees of Paris from above and it’s on 12 Euro total to see the Beautiful Pantheon and go to the top! Well worth the visit. And you are at the same elevation as the first tier of the Eiffel Tower and can see the Eiffel Tower and Sacre Cour easily. There was no wait time but be mindful that they only take small groups up to the Dome a time so you may want to plan ahead to secure the time slot you want. If you are staying near the Latin Quarter the Pantheon is a mere five minute walk. Well worth the visit.
Impressive visit, the tombs of famous writers and important People were amazing. The writer larousse of the famous dictionaries is buried there, i oen a antique dictionary from him so double impressive 👌😊
