This hotel was very fairy priced for central Paris and was spotlessly clean. The room was an excellent size and the reception staff were extremely helpful and obliging. The location is superb, a short walk to the Louvre and Pompidou Centre and near plenty of other attractions. The only downside is that the breakfast is basic, but that is only minor. Overall good value and a high standard. Stuart Tullah.

This hotel has lots of shopping, restaurants, bars and small markets close by and next door to the Palais Royale. It was a quaint, comfortable room a few blocks from major sites. And if you enjoy walking could walk pretty much everywhere from here: St-Germain, Gardens, Notre Dame, Le Marais, Musée d'Orsay. It was great.

You can also walk to the hotel from the metro and walk to the Roissy Bus (airport shuttle) that you board/exit beside the Opéra Garnier.

I stayed at the Washington Opera hotel in Paris in July 2016.
The hotel is very well located around a 5-minute walk to the Louvre museum. The hotel itself is situated on a side road and is quite small. The hotel reception desk was quite friendly and the rooms quaint and with lots of period features. My room located on the third floor had original beams in the ceiling and the furniture also looked very French from the Versailles era (it probably was nit but the pattern was).
We did not eat at the hotel for breakfast as the staff in the breakfast hall did not really seem bothered and so we had breakfast at a nearby Starbucks (located close to the Louvre museum).

We have stayed in this hotel twice in the last few years. It is clean, comfortable, and perfectly located. It is attractive enough but not really special. We found the front desk staff helpful and charming. What is terrific about it is the location--short walks to Metro, the Louvre, the river, and much of central Paris. Also there well-priced restaurants literally across the street as well as one or two excellent ones. There is a small grocery next door. There is a laundromat across the street. All of this adds up to a very convenient and handy location. I believe the building--now renovated into a modern space--was once the town house of a famous 18th century person whose name I can't remember.

Dear Madam,
We are so pleased that as a regular customer, you still enjoy your stay, it is so important to us that we keep a high standard all the time, we are so happy to welcome you everytime you make a stop in Paris, we are sure that if Madame PONPADOUR is the lady of the 18th century, would be pleased for the kind comments you have made.thank you again very much from all of us at the Golden Tulip Washington Opera hotel.
Very Kind Regards,Daniel, Guest Relations.

The hotel was a decent stay for a few day layover in Paris during our honeymoon. Close to the Louvre and walking distance to a lot of bars and restaurants. I will say there was nothing special about the hotel. Very limited amenities and breakfast not included. Rooms were very cute. A lot of natural light in the room we appreciated. In Paris you aren't spending your day in the hotel though, you should be out seeing the city anyway to the hotel did exactly what we needed it for! Very content with staying here.
