I had a double superior room which was basic but ok, i don't think i would have wanted the standard room. It was refreshed daily, clean comfortable bed, room looked out on to a quiet back street. i heard the neighbours one night but they were being rowdy. I didn't try breakfast. It was a good location near two metro stations and quite central, I could walk to most of the places i wanted to see. I spent 3 nights here and thought it was good value for the location.

We stayed here for 2 nights without reading any reviews on lastminute.com the pictures looked completely different to what we was given. When we first arrived the front glass door had a huge smash in it which made us very skeptical about walking in, especially given the area! We were on the 3rd floor and right next to the lift which sounded as though it was going to come though the wall. The receptionist that we saw for the first 2 days was very polite and spoke good English and helped us with questions that we had. Our bed was comfortable and good solid windows cut out a lot of Street noise. We did find the radiator in our room was far too hot and was no way of cooling it down without opening the windows to which we then couldn't hear anything but sirens going past at least 2 an hour! We did feel the hotel was not a 3* accommodation.

We are staying in this hotel in 1 day and will be there for 2 nights from the 23rd to 25th.

We have sent numerous emails requesting a shuttle ride from the airport and have had not one response

Totally unacceptable and shows their lack of good customer service skills.

If I could get a refund I would

This Hotel should be removed from

First stay in Paris and could not afford a whole lot, but since we knew we'd spend most of the time walking around, we didn't care so much about luxury, provided we had privacy, safety and comfort... and were also somewhere accessible. We stayed for 3 nights.

Staff was nice, polite, attentive and helpful. Décor was a little sad/tacky.

Room was clean, but even smaller than what I had experienced in Japan (hee hee) and sometimes we'd have trouble to walk around with our suitcases opened (we had 2). There was not a whole lot of privacy within our privacy and walls were a bit thin. But bed was comfy. Elevator was quite claustrophobic, but I guess that's part of the folklore.

Bathroom was also small and relatively clean, but could look a little nicer if some of the plumbing didn't look rusty in the corners and hair dryer worked. The shower was pretty tight and whenever I turned around I accidentally turned the tap and so it went from icy water to scalding hot.... and I'm not exactly a big person ;-) The drain in the shower looked quite small and not fit to get all the water in time, so it looked as if it was going to spill all over the floor. And it did a few times.

I don't know if this is common in Paris, but the need to leave the keys with reception whenever we went out freaked us out a bit. Not that in any other hotel that allows you to take your room key staff wouldn't be able to enter whenever, but it just felt weird. I don't recall ever staying in a hotel that demanded that. It was nice to find the room tidy once we were back, though there were none of those signs to hang on the door expressing your desire or not to have the room cleaned.

Wi-fi was free but connection was really poor. Staff seemed to be aware of that but didn't offer an alternative. It was pretty frustrating trying to plan the next day or do bits of work.

We didn't try their breakfast. Instead we bought food from supermarkets surrounding the area. No minibar to store things though.

To sum it up, it was an OK stay. But next time we will spend a little more some other place.
