After reading previous reviews about this hotel I booked a 1 night stay for my wife and I. Too often after reading reviews expectations are high and disappointment follows but this hotel ticked all the boxes. Excellent location, just off the main Rue des Ecoles so not too noisy - 5-10 minutes walk from Notre Dame , lots of character, clean rooms and very friendly staff. Couldn't ask for more.

The Hotel Residence Henri 4 is a lovely residential hotel on a quiet dead-end street in the Latin Quarter. We stayed there for a week based on recommendations from friends who had been there during the summer. We got an excellent rate on a beautiful suite with a bedroom, drawing room, closet kitchenette and nice big bathroom. The suite had a small balcony which looked out on the neighborhood. The bed was comfortable and the rooms were very quiet, given the noisy neighborhood.

Location is great: a short walk from the Sorbonne, Pantheon, Musee de Cluny, and only 10 minutes from the Ile de la Cite and Notre Dame. Only minutes from two Metro stops as well.

Staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. They serve a reasonably priced continental breakfast at the hotel, but there are many bistros and restaurants nearby.

The only thing I would suggest is adding a coffeepot or drip to the kitchenette so guests can make coffee in the morning. Otherwise it was perfect!

Charming small hotel in good location in the Latin Quarter, between the Pantheon and the Blvd. St. Germain. In a small cul-de-sac off the busier Rue des Ecoles, which makes it very quiet, yet easily accessible to services on the main streets.

We had a Superior Room, which is a small suite, with two rooms and a small galley kitchen, complete with cooktop, micro-wave, and small refrigerator. Room was clean, and nicely decorated.

Staff was very friendly, and willing to make reservations for dinner, etc.

Only reservations were: inadequate storage space in the bedroom: one armoire for hanging clothes, but no bureau for shirts, etc. In addition, lighting was very dim, making it hard to read at night.

Overall, a very nice hotel at a good price.

Lovely hotel in a favorite Paris location!

The apartment was very comfortable and lovely, bigger than Parisian hotel rooms we had in the past. We travelled with a baby and having a small kitchenette was excellent for us. The staff were very courteous and helpful.

We stayed here for three nights just before Christmas. It's a charming hotel in a great location, just off the street so we didn't get much street noise. The view we got from our window was quite typically Parisian. We got a comfortable and prettily furnished double bedroom, and our son slept on a single bed in the living room. It was very good to have the extra space, as Paris hotels can be really pokey. There was a galley kitchen, but rather disappointingly, no coffee or tea making facilities - really basic. The breakfast they offered (croissant and coffee) cost 8 euros, which we thought was a bit steep - but really we found we couldn't do any better in nearby cafes - so now we have the impression that Parisians are just a bit mean about breakfast! We had to wait till we were dressed and had found a cafe to have our shot of caffeine each morning - really tough! We also had a quite a lot of internal noise - mostly children - not sure if they were in our hotel or in an adjoining apartment, but overall the stay was very pleasant.
