Owner description: There’s a reason why our tours are top-rated food tours on TripAdvisor and have been celebrated by The New York Times (twice!) and knowledgable foodies like David Lebovitz and Ruth Reichl: we keep our group sizes tiny, we spend generously at the best shops in town, and we only work with expert guides who have devoted their lives to food & wine. Our tours are in English and last for around 3 hours. They include some walking and standing, but also feature a seated tasting with wine pairings. Our tours are designed for adults. We’re unable to host children under ten years of age. Our price of 110€ per person is a little higher than the competition because we spend more than anyone else on premium tastings and to pay the most experienced and knowledgable guides in Paris. You’re also paying for the tiny group size.

We did a food tour of the Montmartre with another company while in Paris, which was less expensive than the Paris by Mouth tour. It was a very good experience, but the Paris by Mouth tour was much better. Our guide, Melanie, was very informative and knowledgeable about the food, process, history, and producers while being charming, accessible and good-natured. The pacing was excellent -we weren't rushed, we had different spaces to sit, food to taste, and had an excellent tasting meal in the cellar of a wine bar. There were 3 different wines to accompany the food, plus water was provided for us during the tour and at the cellar. After the tour (which lasted 4 hours), Melanie emailed us a comprehensive list of the items we ate and the locations - much appreciated. Should you consider this tour, do it early on in your trip so you can retrace your steps to the shops to buy the items that were so appealing, and revisit the charming neighbourhood. The group was small with a maximum of 8, which is much better than being in a larger group. Expensive, but worth it!

I’d had several friends recommend the Paris by Mouth tours, and with only a short two-day stay, it seemed like the perfect way to get a taste of lots of Parisian goodness in a quick three-hour burst. And it most certainly was. It exceeded my expectations. We learned so much about some delicious things, like wine, cheese and chocolate (three of my favorite food groups). And we got to taste them. We spent the afternoon with a fantastic group of fellow travelers and our host Diane. Diane was knowledgeable, engaging and always ready to answer any questions. We couldn’t have asked for a better guide through the streets of St. Germain and the Latin Quarter. I’ll be eternally grateful to her for introducing me to Jambon Persille. And if you haven’t tried it, book a tour and discover this spectacular Burgundian treat for yourself. Or find your own new favorite thing. Our short time in Paris was packed with culinary joy thanks to Diane and Paris by Mouth. Book a tour. You won’t regret it.

We had a lovely time with our guide, who was very knowledgeable, interesting and fun. The food we ate was delicious and she gave us plenty of recommendations to try after the tour as well. It was one of my favorite moments from my trip in Paris and I recommend with absolute confidence this tour to anyone who loves food!

Just can't say enough how much we enjoyed this tour. We started in the Marais and immediately at a boulangerie, where Aurelien, our guide explained how bread is a part of the many facets of French culture. Baguettes, croissaints, sweets, etc... He described the origin of the baguette (instead of bread loaf) was to prevent knife fights from occurring when workers had to work underground. The baguette was their solution, because you dont need a knife to eat it! Incredible. ha - Next, a fromagerie, chocolatier, charcuterie, a different store i cant remember where you buy prepared foods, and a stop at the best macaron spot.. NOT Laduree! We ended sitting at a wine shop, tasting wines and eating our findings, with Aurelien guiding us the entire way, on how to taste and which order to eat the cheeses (least stinky to most stinky). Loved it, will do it again and again when we return! thank you Aurelien!!

This was a great tour. Our guide, Isabelle, was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic about food and wine pairings and brought her expertise to our conversation and tastings. Plus, it was nice to have done a tour in the neighborhood we were staying in (St. Germain) so we could easily revisit some of the shops she recommended. I highly recommend this tour!
