Very basic hotel but very close to shops and restaurants. We were put in a room facing the main street and it was very noisy at night, especially from the church, the bells was ringing most of the morning. The shower was not very good and there was a big crack in the sink. Stayed for 2 nights and that was enough. Staff was friendly though.

If you already visited Paris and were charmed by this fantastic city this is a hotel for you. The hotel is located is a relatively non-touristic area but also near The Moulin Rouge and the Boulevard des Batignolles. Next to the hotel is a nice little park where the Parisiens like to relax after a days work. Nice bars and restaurants in the neighbourhood at a fraction of the tourist prices you pay in other area's.
No extravagant luxury but a bed to rets your feet after and before a visit of your favorite city...
And ,major plus, it is one of the cheapest hotels in Paris. Ideal for young city-hopping couples who want to spend more time in the city than in their hotel.

We left Cardiff at 4am and drove to Paris. On arrival to the hotel at 4pm, we were told that our room had been flooded and that we were being moved to another hotel and were given directions to it. After travelling for a further hour we could not find the new hotel. We returned to the Hotel du Roi Rene to complain. One of the staff accompanied us in the car and took us to the hotel which, on arrival, we found to be disgusting and we refused to stay there.

We returned to the hotel to complain but they were not helpful, could not offer us any other solution and so left us to find our own accommodation at 6pm in an unfamiliar city, despite having booked this hotel months earlier. Suffice to say, we would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Quiet older style hotel, situated just off a cobbled square in an area within walking distance of the Metro for easy access to all the main attractions. The bedrooms are comfortable and simply furnished, and have w.c. / shower, television, and mini bar if requested, however for future travellers, no tea or coffee making facilities are available, nor are there adequate, ( I felt ) mirrors, power points etc for ladies (or men) to blow dry hair, or apply makeup, one other point to note regarding the rooms, if there are a lot of guests staying, the hot water tends to run out, which is ok if you like cold showers! The breakfast is very simple, juice, baguette, tea, coffee, or hot chocolate. A good hotel if you are on a budget, and want somewhere just as a base, as we did.
