Arriving in Paris by train, at Montparnasse Station, which on looking up found mention of the tower. WOW! what a view, and despite all the people visiting, it didn't feel crowded, and even the coffee was reasonably priced. The views are breathtaking, and of course you can take pictures of the tower one associates with Paris. Well worth the visit, genuinely shocked that it is such a secret.
Very nice view of Eiffel Tower and surrounding Paris. Definitely weather dependent. Available champagne is way overpriced.
The views from the top floors are extraordinary, You can get an awesome panoramic view of the city. I think they were experiencing some sewer issues the day we were there. But once you were away from the restroom area it was fine. Nice to sit and take in the view. Enjoyed!
Beautiful view of Paris from the top. Time of day and weather will impact the view. I visited around 7:30 PM and there was some haze on one side.
Signs are posted on each side pointing out landmarks.
There is a cafe (which I did not visit) and gift shop located in the enclosed observation area. The gift shop had typical tourist souvenirs and included some items that we didn't see elsewhere (and regretted not having picked up there).
Definitely worth a visit to see Paris from a different vantage point.
Montparnasse was build for us photographers. Nearly in perfect composition to the Eiffel tower and the business district the north east Paris lays down to your feet. I strongly recommend it for everyone who loves the big overview.
