its has lots of fresh produce, the fish looked great , if you are visiting and have access to a kitchen it would be great. However if you want something to eat on the spot it is really disappointing for that, not a patch on Borough Market in London

Since we were staying in the Oberkamf neighborhood, we strolled to the Bastille market on a beautiful September Sunday morning. We purchased roast chicken and veggies for our Parisian Sunday dinner plus picked up some beautiful silk scarves and souvenirs for our friends and family. There’s a great yellow and white stall with crepes, the lines can be long but it’s well worth the wait.

Have been twice now and there is a great range of fruit and vegetables, heaps of cheeses, fresh seafood, meat, bakery goods, flowers and some clothes etc. A must do if you are in the area on a Sunday.

We read a lot about this market and came on a beautiful Sunday in Paris. There are a ton of vendors selling meats, fish, cheese wines, and all sorts of goodies to eat. We stopped at one of the oyster vendors and had a dozen "fresh out of the ocean" freshly shucked goodies. Totally briny deliciousness.

We really enjoyed our stroll through the Market even though I ended up getting pelted by pigeon poop early in our walk. A nice vendor gave me a towel and a bucket of water to help me clean off.

Recommended.

Visited on a Sunday around 11am and it was packed. Loads of vegetables, fresh seafood, and meats. A few vendors were selling jewelry, clothing, and misc. Items. We browsed and ate and browsed some more. Spent about 2 1/2 to 3 hours just looking. Highly recommend. Oh, also there was a couple of vendors serving oysters on the half shell and steamed lobster with people standing at the booth eating happily!
