I spent two nights at the Hotel Edgar during a business trip to Paris. The hotel was perfect for my needs. Its pretty trendy and well decorated. I had a double room with shower, vanity and wc (no bath). The room itself was small but clean and neat, and had everything you may need. Linen clean.

The hotel is above a restaurant which does get a little rowdy at night, which was made slighty worse by the fact, that due to technical issues with my Air Conditioning, I had to sleep with the window open. It would be quieter if the window was closed, but the noise may still get to some, so something to be aware of.

Breakfast was fresh and tasty yet basic and was served in the restaurant below.

All in all, it is a great spot, in a quiet corner, off one of the busier Boulevards in Paris. I would recommend this hotel.

Room Tip: I dont know if any rooms face away from the restaurant, but I would chose these for less noise at night.

Found this place on booking.com, but didn't realise they made you pay straight away and it was not refundable. I wont do that again! Aside from this, when I called to ask them they were willing to switch the dates, so a plus for their client service.

The hotel is very well located, 10minutes walk from the train station. Very modern and clean. Their restaurant gets great reviews, but closed on the weekend, so didn't get a chance to try it.

Buffet breakfast (continental) €per person.

Only stayed at this hotel one night on our way back home.
I wouldn't categorize this as the regular hotel one is used to.
It doesn't have a lobby or common areas, as a matter of fact, the front desk is just a little desk on one side of the restaurant, but then again, who needs that when you are out and about all day.
The room was awesome. They even upgraded us just because. From what we were told by the super friendly staff, each room is decorated differently and has a theme.
There are dozens of restaurants and cafes 3 minutes away.
The only negative observation I have is not about the hotel, but about the closest metro station. If you are taking the metro to hotel Edgar, get off at Sentier station not Strasbourg station, unless you want to walk by several ladies with the oldest profession in the world.

I stayed for a very brief but busy 2 nights at the wonderful Hotel Edgar this month. Small but charming, excellent restaurant, with lots of competition nearby. Best of all was the marvellous attention and kindness of all the staff. To rip off someone else's term "Ab Fab".

It was the most unique hotel i have seen in terms of design. Each room i heard was decorated differently. Not all people might appreciate it though. I loved our room with the lights in the bathroom. This might not be the hotel for people with small kids though
