I ate alone on a Friday evening. The waiting staff were kind an attentive, the food was excellent and original. I was absolutely delighted with this find. Would not hesitate to return or recommend.

We dined here one Monday evening in September 2017 on the recommendation of friends who stay nearby. To start with, it was a challenge to get through to the restaurant by phone to make a reservation, but we did eventually succeed. We arrived on time for dinner and were promptly seated. The best aspect of our evening was the food which was excellent. However, the overall dining experience was not. The restaurant is small and it quickly became clear that it was overbooked for the evening, with more than 30 diners in a spartan space that would more comfortably hold 25. From our perspective the service staff (one server and one assistant) while friendly was simply not up to the challenge of serving so many. We felt that the sporadic, chaotic and distracted service did an injustice to the food and made our experience there less enjoyable than it should or might have been which was disappointing.

We never would have found this place on our own, but on a recent stay in Paris in this neighborhood, I asked a woman walking her dog if she could recommend a good local restaurant that served authentic French food. She directed us to Le Sot L'y Laisse. The service was impeccable, as was the food and wine selection. Plating was artistic but not fussy, and the food (from a seared ahi salad appetizer to roasted veal for two to a varied chocolates plate for dessert) had great depth of flavor and complexity without trying to do too many things at once. We had a wonderful evening here, as beyond the food and wine, the entire staff made the room (small; seats about 25) feel welcoming and warm; they were clearly glad to be helping us enjoy our time. Highly recommended!

A bit out of the way near where the M2 ends in Nation but well worth the trip. Went on a recommendation and we were happy at the end. Started with a tuna tataki with greens, Iberico ham on the bone, and a chocolate soufflé for dessert! Run by a Japanese husband and wife, very gracious, great service, great wine pairings as well. I had a choice a 2-3 different bottles for each course depending on my taste.

I sussed out this place for lunch after a walking tour of Père Lachaise and really enjoyed it. The service was great and the food very good, particularly the creme brulee - could have eaten 2 of those... Nice choice of wines by the glass.
