A vos réservations!

We found ourselves in this area of Paris for two reasons; We were doing a bit of a literary walk of the city and Ernest Hemingway lived with his first wife Hadley just across the street at No 74 rue du Cardinal Lemoine, while James Joyce lived at No 71 when he wrote Ulysses. The other reason was that we had planned to come to a different restaurant but couldn't get a table, so amongst many establishments in this area we chose El Burro Blanco as looking the most promising. Great choice as we were taken care of by a charming head waitress in a place with lots of Spanish ambience, not least helped by two excellent Spanish guitar playing singers. The food was good and we'd definitely recommend this restaurant.

Two guitar players, a flamenco danser, Spanish décor and atmosphere combine to make this restaurant a perfect choice to celebrate a Birthday ! Lots of animation and laughs here! The paella with large shrimp is quite good. The other choices on the menu are also tasty ,served in generous portions. The sangria was perfect, and with the promotion proposed by " la Fourchette",the price of the meal decreases dramatically!
We will definitely return!

Great atmosphere, wonderful Spanish food in the middle of Paris. You have to catch the night show, the two guitarists are great fun and the flamenco dancer unforgettable.

Yet another great Parisian find. The restaurant is conveniently located just a few steps away from the place de Contrescarpe, across the street from the famous Hemingway's apartment on rue du Cardinal Lemoine.
What makes El Burro Blanco a very special place is the sincere warmth and friendliness of its staff combined with great prices and very decent food.
We booked our table through LaFourchette.com and got a 50% discount. Yes, not your meager 10% or 15% but 50%.
The restaurant offers a colorful interior and a cozy ambiance, the lights are subdued, the picturesque design is reminiscent of a Spanish/Basque rustic tavern. The live music serves as a harmonious addition to one's meal. The staff, servers and musicians alike seemed genuinely amicable and accommodating.
We ordered two appetizers, an Assiette de Tapas and Langustinos Plancha. Both were superb, but we would recommend the former; it offers a much more diverse selection of various Tapas dishes.
The Paella Mixte was very good too, and Paella Marinera a bit more conventional. With a bottle of 1860 Riscal, a bottle of mineral water and one dessert, our bill came up to an amazingly low 77€, after the discount applied.
Very good place, highly recommended.
