Everyone knows what to expect from an ibis. This one was centrally placed and within minutes of the palace. Staff are English speaking and helpful. Car park is chargeable ( €10 per night ) it’s tricky to find but we parked outside the hotel in a lay-by and asked for directions at the desk , we did 2 circuits and another park and ask before we found it quite close, but in a different street.
Lots of great places to eat and drink in this stunning vibrant city. The ibis is a good choice if you want to stay right where it’s all happening.

Very nice and quiet, very friendly and helpful

Ideally suitated, with just a short walk around the corner to Versailles Palace.

This was my third time there and as always, was very pleased. After a chilly night the heating was turned on first time this autumn and everything was fine. Breakfast is more than enough, there is something for everybody. bit of wear and tear is visible, but who cares as the hotel is so close to the Rive Droit -railway station and rue Saturoy's bars and restaurants!!

As part of tour around northern France we decided to spend a couple of days in Versailles. The hotel was very good such a change from what we had endured in Buc. The hotel was centrally located, just a 10 minute walk to the chateau, the first day we walked around the gardens, which was a Monday, be warned the chateau closes on a Monday. On Tuesday we went into the chateau, I would warn you that you need to get there early, especially if you don't have a ticket, because the queues were extremely long, it took us nearly 2 hours to get in, but well worth the wait. The hotel did have parking albeit underground and a 2 minute walk from the hotel, the rooms were clean but not too spacious, remember this is the French equivalent of Premier Inn. Breakfast was very good and plenty of it, and there was a lift.

Room Tip: Upper floor, cuts down noise

travelled to paris by car,on reaching our destination..this is when our first problem started!
trying to find the hotel car park was a nightmare,if there's a sign..then it's not in plain view!
option = we parked the car around the corner,then asked the hotel reception for directions!
the actual hotel car park is around the corner from the hotel itself,the entrance is narrow + there is at least 1/2 other businesses sharing the underground facility!
unless you have used these facilities before,you struggle to find a ibis hotel parking area (badly signed )
when leaving the car park, you have to take a lift to ground !
on exiting the lift we found ourselves on exterior of a building( ourselves and suitcases ) there was no indication where the hotel was?
there was no sign/s to assist us,the only ibis hotel sign...was for the underground car park?
eventually after asking 5/6 people, we managed to find out its location.
incredibly we had to walk at least( a minimum (and iam being generous ),300 metres to the hotel + climb 5/6 flights of stairs!
on arriving at the hotel we checked in with reception ,and explained our difficulty of not only finding the hotel...but also how hard it is to climb 5/6 flights of stairs (myself carrying 2 heavy suitcases )
the reception responded.***** quote ***** ,if you had gone to the other end of the hotel, you would have found a ramp!!!
once again...as we have never visited this establishment before,how were we supposed to know this ?
now for the room..iam a person, that only knows how to speak honestly and direct!
considering this was a double bed en suite,it has to be the smallest i have had the misfortune to suffer!!
within minutes of both my wife and i inspecting the room,behind the bedroom curtain/s,we found a dirty pair of socks!!
we immediately put the offending objects in a plastic bag,and then reported the incident to reception!
reception ( on our request ) contacted somebody senior,this person introduced (herself) as,....iam direction....(no name ) ?
we were then asked to return to our room..not only with (direction),but also a member of reception!
on arriving at our room we were then asked, to point out where we found the offending objects?
never once was there an apology for the lack of cleaning,we were made more to be the culprits..rather than the victims?
morning (breakfast ) = basic ..3 types of cereal..bread/toast..(poor quality) ..juice = industrial (not fresh ) ..the cheese + ham was left near a cuisine hot - plate, which unless you prefer warm/hot (it was sticking to the plate) ,i don't recommend!!!
on the positive side...within less than 10 minutes , walking distance of chateau versailles!
when you exit the hotel and turn right ( walk approximately 50/60 metres...descend 5/6 flights of stairs...turn right and repeat the same..once you have descended,you will find an amazing italian restaurant on the right hand side! ( i highly recommend )
exiting the hotel to the left...approximately 10 minutes walking (brisk pace ) is a refined ( french restaurant ) ..it was organised for my wife's birthday...for me the price is not questionable...(what price do you put on ,your wife's( birthday/happiness)?
iam not a rich man ( in monetary terms ),but regarding the love from my wife...then iam the richest man in the world!
happily we didn't let the negative reaction of the (iam direction) ,spoil my wife's ( 70th birthday)
unless there is a ( major ) refurbishment, + you instruct 'all members of staff ,how to deal with the public'!
then we will never visit (ibis paris again) we would sooner try a different company!

summary
the (direction) clearly stated that..quote the ibis had bought the hotel from accor,when in fact ibis is owned by the accor group!
in a nutshell..the (direction ) didn't know fact....from fiction!

Room Tip: unless there has been a major refurbishment,do not go to this hotel!!
