Very clean and comfortable place to stay. Location was within walking distance to the Palace, restaurants, etc. They have a pool table parlor which was great because it poured rain one evening and was freezing cold, so it gave us something to do inside. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly and spoke very good English. Delicious breakfast and I would highly recommend to anyone!

We stayed here with another couple so we could have a day to explore Versailles and the Chateau/Gardens without travel - trains were on strike to/from Paris. We booked directly with the Hotel, which had a better price than through a third party, but declined adding on the breakfast option. The location of the hotel made the walk to the Chateau/train station/buses only 10-15minutes. It was a gem. The staff were very helpful and friendly; all spoke English to some extent. The rooms were on the smaller size (not a problem for us), but clean, beds comfortable and bathrooms clean and modern. There was a window that could be opened that overlooked the small courtyard, which was quiet. There didn't seem to be a lot of guests, so in the evening we had drinks in the courtyard - the one bartender was great. When we were leaving the receptionist helped us with the logistics of getting to the right location/bus to Paris, and then the train line we needed based on the daily strikes. Definitely recommend this hotel!

It's a vintage and nice hotel, with nice rooms and good breakfast. The only problem I had was with the heat, it's a Little bit cold in the room, like 19-20 degrees(I'm used to have 22-23 degrees in my bedroom)

Dear Guest,

We thank you for choosing l'hôtel la Résidence du Berry. We are very glad of our kind comment. Reagarding the heat, it's an automatic systeme wich managed it that's why it could sometime feel cold for our customers most sensitive to cold. And for our chilliest guest we provide extra heating on request at the reception. We hope to welcome back you soon.

Sincerly.

Really good little hotel, nice and close to the Palace and the train station to Paris. There is a lovely atmosphere at the hotel with the staff both friendly and helpful. The room we had was very clean and the bed one of the most comfortable I have had for a long time. Great shower and modern bathroom. We didn't have breakfast on the two night stay as there are plenty of restaurants, bars etc close by for a coffee and croissant. Rooms may be a bit on the small side, but this is (nearly) Paris after all and I'm just being picky here. Really good value for money and we have booked another trip for October.

Room Tip: We had a front facing room on a Saturday and Sunday night. There was no issue with street noise.

Lovely small hotel near station and palace. Small rooms but clean and comfortable. No safes in the rooms. Good selection at breakfast.
Hotel offers a package for 2 nights with breakfast and tickets for 2 days to palace and half a bottle of champagne.
Hotel has a small bar and snooker room.
Pretty veranda for breakfast/drinks. Free parking in the street throughout August.
Be aware that a lot of shops and restaurants are closed for their annual holiday in August in Versailles. This can make finding somewhere to eat a challenge.
