We enjoyed our stay at the Hotel de Brienne. The room was small, but clean. The staff was superb, particularly Louis and Caroline. We needed to do laundry and there was a laundromat 50 yards from the hotel! The hotel is located in the Univ. of Toulouse area so the neighborhood was lively -- but the hotel was quiet.

Stayed for a week. Front desk staff is very courteous. Thanks to Louis for taking care of our requirements. Good place to stay if you are for a short business stay. rooms were small and not sure how it will help family holiday needs. Close/20 min walk to Capitol/ City center.
Would love to stay again!!

As a previous reviewer has said, this hotel has followed a 'style not substance' model. It really is designed for short, work related stays. If you are here for a holiday you can find better, more central hotels. I was there for work and stayed for a number of days which gave plenty of opportunity to see the weaknesses. There seems to be a shortage of irons so you get a call an hour after you borrow one asking for it back; the cleaners range from excellent to weak; the breakfast is expensive, narrow in range and the same every day; it's 20 minutes walk from the Capitol and the main sights; there is little customer focus in the reception staff (although the manager was very pleasant). All of these points don't really matter if you are here for a night or two but become annoying when you are here for longer.

Room Tip: Choose a more central hotel

what a pity you didn't enjoy your staying, and sorry you pick one previous reviewer that didn't enjoy his staying, you are right hôtel de Brienne is not located down the hyper center, but 15 mn away, while walking along the canal & st Pierre square, 1 stop away with the metro 600 meters from the hotel, and 50 meters from the hotel buses L1 going downtown, hope you would come back and enjoy more of Toulouse
take care helene

Stayed for 2 nights in the Junior Suite. Great size room with small sitting area and large terrace overlooking rooftops and the parking lot (we were on the 5th floor...this was not a problem). Very clean. Toilet separate from the Bath area which was great. Bath area was large enough to meet our needs, however the lighting was poor and the walls are made of glass (sandblasted) which caused the light to shine on the bed when turned on. Not a big deal, unless your spouse is sleeping when you turn the light on!! While we do not watch TV when travelling it is noteworthy that only one person could view the TV from the bedroom area. Again, not a big deal for us. Staff were engaging and helpful. Hotel is a a 10 minute walk to the Centre.

Room Tip: Top floors have terraces

Comfortable night with excellent service. Good value and hotel well positioned. Short taxi ride to the airport and excellent local restaurants. Many thanks I will use the Brienne on my next visit to Toulouse.

Room Tip: I was in room 409 which was fine for a short overnight stay.
