We arrived here on a very cold and wet February evening after walking around Bayeux to find most of the other restaurants closing up or already closed as we had had a 3 hour delay on our journey.
We were warmly greeted and were the only people in so they could have easily turned us away but luckily for us they didn't.
The waitress was very friendly and very patient with my French and we were quickly served with our drinks. The food followed shortly and I had the best croque monsieur I have ever had and my wife had a lovely ham and cheese galette.
Even as the time ticked by we never felt rushed and would definately return when the opportunity arises.

Food was excellent and would definitely eat here again. the menu was quite varied, lots of choices. So, it could be nice to try some of the other dishes they offered.

The food in this popular restaurant is excellent and I would certainly recommend it for this aspect. Service was also good however one of the ladies insisted on doing that French thing where when you order in English, she repeats it in French, presumably to make the point that you can't speak the language. Irritating but don't let that put you off.

We entered after 1.30 pm to serve lunch when all other restaurants from the area said they will close soon ( we were with 2 children but nobody cared ) !
It was a very chilly February day and we were quite annoyed that we cannot find a restaurant .
They welcomed us and they treated us very well so that we started to feel again Iike humans. The food was delicious and the house vine too!
Thank you for the treat !

We found Le Domesday just outside the Cathedral grounds after a late start to the day.

As we entered, a friendly waitress guided us to a table in the main body of the restaurant. We were promptly given a menu and left to ponder our order. We both ordered cafe au Laite and Croque Madame. The food was well portioned and full of flavour, the coffee strong and smooth and helped shake the cobwebs.

A great little French restaurant and well worth a visit
