No elevator and you may be climbing several flights of stairs. The room is small and dominated by the bed. No place to unpack, and very limited place to hang clothing. Bathroom very small. Breakfast adequate for juice, coffee, bread, and cereal. Despite these limitations, the owner/proprietor is a terrific gentleman with a young family who works hard to please. If you can handle the limitations, give him your business.

We propose superior double room with a sofa, place to unpack, more place to hang clothing and a bigger bathroom for a more confortable stay (129€ per night) .... But you select a standard double room around 89€ (with Booking.com) in an economic 2 stars hotel in city center completely renoved.

If you don't want to pay more, don't be surprised if you haven't a room like a 5 stars hotel.

We take in charge luggage, propose a high quality bed, serve home made cake, home made yogurt for breakfast and do our best to help our guests like in a Four season hotel.

Beautifully clean rooms and the service could not be faulted. We found the room a little small for five nights but to be greeted with the helpfulness and smile of Mathieu made up for it. The bathroom could do with a towel rail and some hooks in the room for coats and bath robes.

Matthieu the hotelier and his staff were very welcoming and accommodating to our group of 16 cyclists that arrived for a long weekend in September. The rooms were contemporary in style and Kept clean, the showers were excellent.

The room was large and so white (and blue) that it shone. Very nice shower, although we did not discover the water temperature regulating mechanism. An especially helpful and nice host and very good, central location in Caen.

Room Tip: the back seems better. It is on a second and third floors (possibly fourth too).

A one night stay en route back to Uk right in the centre of the main shopping area. Bit tricky to find and with parking about 200m away the entrance leads you up to the first floor reception with rooms above that on two more floors . With no lift this could be a problem for some but very helpful staff to carry your bag if you need it . Small but very clean new room, ok for a night. Very good location for the town sites. Hope the owners do well as very helpful.. just take into account small room and lots of stairs!

Thank you.
You can park in the street of the hotel (for free from 7pm to 09am). There is undergound parking Idigo Place de la républiique at 50m (5€ the night / 11€ for 24h with the hotel). We propose superior double room with a sofa for a more confortable stay but you select the standard and economic double room. Zoé and Mathieu.
