Only walked by it to feel its huge structure
Wonderful piece of engineering and looking like a piece of modern art. Wonderful

If you follow the green tourist line from the mechanical museum it is an interesting half hour walk along the river bank. Excellent kitchen cafe and children's play part. Bars and restaurants within the old banana warehouse. Sculptures and views of the city of Nante. The protected cranes tower over you at the end of the island, reminding you of its history and the scale of the urban project.

Very imposing structures that hark back to the original industrial use of the area. If your're interested in industrial or shipping/maritime history, then this area is worth having a look around. It's been regenerated as a recreational area, but there is still lots of remnants of what it once was - a very busy port.

There are 2 big cranes here, one grey, one yellow. Worth a look if you're interested in shipyard history.
Currently, there's lots of modern cranes nearby for contrast ...
