Located in a small square with a lovely fountain, all beautifully lit at night. We liked that this place was quieter and more secluded than the typical tourist restaurants in Aix. We spoke with our server and the owner throughout our meal, and both were friendly, attentive and helpful. My friend didn't recognize any of the red wines on offer, so she described the kind she likes. Our server said she would find out the best option and open it for us and, if we weren't satisfied, she would bring us something else! Then she brought us a delicious bottle of a local red, made very close by in Le Tholonet. The squash/pumpkin soup with chestnuts (velouté potimarron avec chataignes) was outstanding. My friend loved her risotto with lobster (homard). We shared a generous bread pudding dessert (pain perdu, glace caramel beurre salé), which was superb.
