My wife and I recently spent eight nights at the Olivier. We've been staying at this Hotel whenever we have visited Cannes over the past 20 plus years. I'm pleased to report that not much has changed. Some may take that as criticism thinking the hotel has become outdated. Nothing could be further from the truth. Like Coco Chanel's "little black dress" this hotel is a classic and classics don't become dated. This hotel has the look and feel of a small, traditional French hotel. Unfortunately, properties like this has become fewer and further between in recent years.
This property exudes charm. The same family has run the hotel as long as we've been staying here. Although mom and dad are still active around the property their sons have continued the family tradition of providing a warm welcome and maintaining the hotel perfectly. In short, we love this place.
Now for some practical information. The rooms are air conditioned efficiently. The wifi works fine. The rooms are spotlessly clean and housekeeping goes out of its way doing things like rehanging your beach towels if you've left them bunched up. It's a very short walk to the public beaches of the Plage du Midi. The restaurants around the old port are also a short walk away. If you're traveling with children ask for rooms 20 and 21. They face each other in a short, almost private corridor. Perhaps most importantly, pricewise the hotel is an almost unimaginable bargain.
One caveat: It's a steep, uphill walk from the Old Port to the hotel. If you're mobility impaired this might be a problem. However, Ubers are ubiquitous and it's a short cheap ride.

This is a family run old school hotel with a decor that feels somewhat dated. It is a bit off the beaten track but easy to get to restaurants and the city center.

Had a large room with comfortable bed, aircon worked well. Breakfast was ok and served at the veranda or outside, weather permitting. The wifi didnt work at all which was a bit disappointing.

This is a good budget hotel, it does what it says on the tin. It has a small pool outside which is nice to relax around.

This is Cannes! We extended our reservation from 2 nites to 3 to soak up the sun and the sights.
Located very close to Le Suquet (3 min walk) with lots of restaurants to choose from and Eglise Notre-Dame d'Esperance (4 min walk) for the best view of the town!
The greetings from the front desk were always friendly.
Helpful with trying to use the computer - we made our next booking online.
The room was just big enough, clean, and the bed was comfy.
Breakfast was 12 euros each, extra beyond the room charge. Well worth it!
The Breakfast room was so cheery in yellows and oranges, with the option of eating outside on their garden patio.
Breakfast was a great variety of breads, boil-your-own eggs, and all the normal European options of meat, cheese, fruits.
Tea, coffee, chocolate was served personally.
The town was amazing - beach walks (yes, some ladies were topless) and the Film Festival auditoriums and even up the hill to the La Croix de Gardes.
And yes, it's pronounced (American) CAN.
