Throughóut the last 24 years I have worked with food and beverage and have traveled extensively as a part of my job but also because I love it, I have always taken pride in eating what the locals eat and do is in locally popular eateries. That guarantees that the food is well cooked, the price level is good and the service good as it is normally run by a family. La Meissouniere fits perfectly in to a local hero profile. I picked fois gras for a starter followed by calf's liver and finishing with a local cheese platter. All dishes were perfect in every sense and came at a price point which was a pure bargain. Mt friend picked a marvelous bone marrow followed by a steak which were equally perfect. Add good house wines, a lovely atmosphere and great and personal service and this place turns into a hdden gem. As good as it gets!
