This is a beautiful small hotel, tucked close to the heart of Juan. The garden area is amazing given the location (if you can avoid the little white mites falling from the treas) - the swimming pool is small but lovely and the rooms are to a good standard (with very good bathrooms). Breakfast is served until 1pm (which is nice) - and is a good mix of local produce (breads, fruit etc).
The owner is charming and made sure she chatted to all guests regularly and made you feel welcome.
The only downside was the remainder of the staff who appeared to be new, both to the hotel and to hotels in general. When we checked in the receptionist did not know where the keys were, and seemed amused when she eventually found them. Another day we asked for beach towels - were kept waiting for 15 minutes while another staff member went off to find them and then came back with bath towels as "lots of people have taken towels". At breakfast the staff seemed to struggle with making an omelette at times - and others seemed to be scared of standing still so hovered to remove used plates. At times it was a bit "Fawlty Towers".
Overall, the latter was more amusing than bad - and it did not detract from the charm of the place.More
