When cross the gate of this small hotel you find yourself in an enchanted garden. The rooms have a unique eclectic style and they are rather spacious. My room was not very clean but I notified the reception and they immediately sent someone to sort it out. The hotel doesn’t offer lunch or dinner but they offered a buffet breakfast in the garden every morning which was lovely. The only issue with it is that the breakfast is fixed price Euro 20 so if you have a coffee or a full breakfast you have to still pay the same. There is another remarkable fact about this hotel - the garden is home to several frogs which every evening when the sun sets start “chanting” and this goes on until sunrise so you better bring some air-plugs :) !

Bonjour,
thank you very much for choosing Hotel Sainte Valerie, and for your detailed comment.
Sorry again for the mistake in the room, the housekeeper immediately corrected it but she should not have had to.
Even if human errors may happen, we do all we can to avoid them, and this is not in our habits ...
The Buffet breakfast / brunch is 20€, but there is also a Bar carte at the hotel, and you can ask for a hot or soft drink à la carte anytime (as well as apéritif, glass of wine, champagne etc ...). A boiler and/or a coffee machine is available in each room, with tea and coffee doses (ask more at the reception if needed).
Regarding frogs and to share some "couleur locale" with you, Antibes and the hinterland (also in Grasse for example) used to be a large horticultural area, with water tanks everywhere. The roses and flower farms are mostly gone, but not the water tanks (hence the frogs!).
We stay at your disposal, and wish you a very nice summer time,
Very best regards, M. Rigotti

I really have refrained for one week from writing this review, as i want to keep this little jewel to myself, but i wil share it with you. The hotel is not only a little piece of feeling provencal meets quaintness but it has an understated elegance, one does not find in a boutique hotel. This hotel, perfectly combines a very personal touch( there was one head woman in charge of cleaning that literally saw i needed a cotton dress presseed aND TOOK IT AND IN ten minutes returned at no cost ) and i had a pressed dress. So, the service is the first perfection here. Whilst the welcome is very relaxed, again everything is feeling very top notch, polished yet professional where service seems to be really a key element to this hotel as one gets what they need in a very quick time and one never sees this at most French hotels, yet alone a smaller hotel.,but they succeed in making you feel like you are the only person at the hotel. As a single woman traveling, i felt safe and joyous everytime i came home to the hotel. The breakfast which i refrained from as i was on a diet, looked scrumptious, wherein, the morning ritual was freshly squeezed orange juice and they make their own croissants outdoors in a little oven. Informally, chic, not loud, understated, little nooks of greenery lead you to your very overly large room.I loved my room, so much- i will return for the peace and quiet and of course the great location that is a quarter mile from the EDEN Roc hotel and a jump over to my other much pricier art deco hotel, Le Belle Rives.( this hotel is so stylish and so beautiful, but if you dont wantto spend that kind of money. then just go for dinnner, or drinks there and really relax at your quaint st Valerie. The little pool was inititally cold( it was advertized as heated)- but no complaints here! one of the waiters saw i was vacillating( and i am a swimmer) and he said,"just jump in" and i did-- and he had set up a snack for me at my chaise lounge and my favorite coffee.(they don't serve lunch or dinner only breakfast) but ... you feel so close to the whole family atmosphere, yet never in your face! ITs hard to describe the unobvious, unstaged naturalness of this wonderful hotel, but i tried my best to advise you, you will feel like you went to French country heaven, I was greeted with oversized lemons growing on a tree, and i knew i was back, where I belonged. and hopefully, again and again !.....oh, about that gate! The owners will understand that joke!

Room Tip: I had the best room, which has a front seating area and huge bedroom and huge gorgeous bath and shower ( separate).

Bonjour "Paul L",
thank you very much for coming to Hôtel Sainte Valérie, and for your kind comment and recommendation.
We are happy that you appreciated our welcome, the Hotel and its very special garden.
Regarding the pool, it is adapted to the place and garden, not a place to swim long distances, rather to refresh and relax in the hot summer days... The beaches being just 2 minutes' walk from the hotel :-)
The team joins me to wish you a nice summer time, and we look forward to welcoming you again in Juan les Pins.
Very best Regards, M. Rigotti

In a great, quiet location, but within easy walking distance of the beaches, shops and restaurants, this hotel make a great first impression, with its lush patio and pool area adorned with heavy greenery and delightfully scented flowers. And it does have a lift, which is a great, surprising benefit in an older hotel. But our room, with its garish red carpet and odd combination of mid century modern furnishings and pseudo "antiques," was a little disappointing. The bathroom seems to have been recently renovated in an attractive rustic style, with plenty of counter space, but the fact that the toilet took forever to "reset" after use was a little annoying. And the oddly elaborate shower, with its jets that shot straight at you (an option you could choose not to use -- I can't imagine anyone wanting to) when there was no door or curtain to block the spray from shooting across the room, was a needless "amenity." But the positives ultimately outweighed the oddities, and we'd go back if we were ever in the area again.

Bonjour "DesigningWoman13",
thank you for coming to Hotel Sainte Valerie, and for your comment about the Hotel charms.
I'm sorry that you did not like your room, its decoration and the bathroom (it has many amateurs, nevertheless...).
Maybe if you had told us we could have find you another room more at your taste?
Every room has its own ambiance and a different setting, so do not hesitate to ask us for another one next time you visit us.
We are at your disposal to advise you at best possible when you book directly (see also the numerous photos on our website and on Tripadvisor).
Very best regards, M. Rigotti

We stayed here recently for a wedding with our family. The hotel staff are friendly and polite. We had a good suite with an outside patio with four chairs. The suite was perfect for us as we could make as much noise as young children make and not worry. We went out and bought croissant etc for breakfast and ate this on the patio. There was a little fridge that we put our milk etc in. We also had picnic lunches on the patio, in the shade. The supermarket - Casino is only 5 mins walk away so very handy.
We were able to walk to the beach and the local restaurants in 5 minutes. There are 3 public beaches near the hotel. The nearest one is very convenient and on the first day there was empty but over the w/e they put out sun loungers that cost 10 Euro a day - we didn't do this as was only staying for a few hours. A larger beach 15 mins walk away has ice-cream shops, small eateries, showers and WC. Another small beach towards Antibe had showers and a quiet little bay.
Our room did have a problem with ants! Also the hotel could do with some more maintenance in regards to gardening and cutting back the shrubbery and weeds. The pool was good, on the cold side as it wasn't heated! It was half in the shade which was a bonus for the children. There were plenty of clean towels and sun loungers around the pool. I would recommend this hotel to stay, we had a very pleasant time, the hotel needs a little bit of TLC. The hot tub was out of action as well. Perfect location and friendly staff.

Room Tip: Ask for a balcony overlooking the pool

Bonjour "DilMck",
thank you very much for coming to Hotel Sainte Valérie with your family, and for your detailed appreciation.
We are happy that you appreciated your stay, the location and our welcome.
Your choice of room was the best option regarding your expectations, with the ground floor suite in the garden.
Unfortunately we can't always stop nature at the step of the house, and have to use some products for the insects on request (please just ask the reception or the house keeper).
We also do our best regarding the pool, a mechanical piece seems to be missing and difficult to mend. Sorry for that.
The team joins me to send our best regards to you and your family,
Best wishes, M. Rigotti
