My Husband and I stayed with Cathy and Miguel in June for 6 days. We stayed in the upstairs room "Bella Vista" this room has a spacious beautifully decorated bedroom with chandelier and balcony, a spacious bathroom with double sink, bath and free standing shower and a third room with wardrobe space, sofa bed and additional outside balcony with x2 chairs and table. You also have full use of the pool area, outside terrace and pool house to chill your wine, make an afternoon sandwich and freeze your ice creams (great supermarket 5 mins away for all essentials and more) The pool house has everything you would need if you wanted to cook evening meals also. The house is beautifully decorated, very unique, personal and lots of character, the hand painted wall art (bird cages on our landing I am stealing this idea for my own house!) Cathy and Miguel are very laid back and it was a privilege for us to stay with them in their home. You never felt like you were intruding as the hosts went about there daily business and left you to it (as well as making suggestions on trips/restaurants if needed) Breakfasts were a great start to the day and delicious! For us the base was perfect with amazing views, a short walk down hill to a tram stop that's takes you around Nice for only 1.5 euro. The brasserie at the bottom of the hill Cathy recommended was cheap in price but plentiful in portions!! Our overall stay was relaxing and enhanced from staying in such a memorable villa in Nice, there are too many positive things to write about in a review but if you are considering staying here book it now!

Room Tip: bella vista great views! but didn't see the downstairs room

This was our 3rd time at this fantastic B and B and it just doesn't disappoint. We actually stayed in both rooms this time (large room was booked for a coupe of nights, so we stayed in the small room before transferring across). The small room is absolutely adequate, although we are both tall (6ft2) and couldn't full stand up in the bedroom! the bathroom is lovely though and considering you just sleep in the bedroom it is more than adequate. Having said that, if you have the choice, there's no question that the larger 'suite' is preferable. We love how accommodating Cathy. Michel and Sushi are; there is absolutely no awkwardness about being in their home and they are very welcoming. The great thing for us is being able to prepare food at the poolside kitchen. There is nothing we like more than preparing a good meal, drinking a bottle of wine and enjoying a game of cards as you take in the fab view over Nice. The weather wasn't as good as we hoped this time around, but you can't have everything. We cannot wait to go back and stay again, but just hope it doesn't get too popular as it makes it really difficult to book when you rely on school holidays only! We cannot recommend this B and B highly enough.

All the previous comments are spot on. Cathy and Michele have a wonderful home and they are very happy to share it fortunately. They are both warm, welcoming and very helpful. We booked the upstairs with balcony and stunning views over Nice. So in effect you get 3 rooms. The beautiful bedroom the wardrobe room with sofa bed (both have balconies) and the enormous bathroom which has 2 sinks, a big bath and shower. We would have loved tea and coffee making facilities in the room but cathy did make it clear we could use the kitchen at any time to make brews. It is about an 8 minute walk down (20 mins back up). I'm not keen on hills/steps going up so grabbed an Uber taxi a couple of evenings. Beware of the charges after 1pm (the buses run until 8pm and stop right outside). Our cab cost 29 euros after 11pm yet only 13 before. That said there is an amazing restaurant at the bottom of the hill more or less and eating there early you could catch the last bus. Cathy and Michele's (pronounced Miguel) home is beautiful and much nicer than the photos. It is absolutely immaculate also. I recommend upstairs as you get the views but BOOK EARLY AS IT'S SNAPPED UP!!!

My husband and teen daughter stay here for 2 nights on way through from Italy and what a treat. The view is as lovely as the rooms, and the hosts. Easy to get around Nice from here. Didn't cost that much more than a dump of a hotel we stayed in last year for 2 nights on the way through Nice. Would highly recommend this gem of a spot. We dream of going back.

We stayed for a week incorporating the Monaco Grand Prix as part of our holiday. Nice is busy and noisy and vibrant, then you walk into this house of calm and peace and a little dog that always says hello(between his cat patrols).
Firstly it is up nearly 200 steps from the town below, do not let this put you off. I have a foot injury and walking down was easy, but the uber taxis are so cheap, we went all over Nice. Hint.... Sign up with uber on your phone, they know exactly where to pick you up, they were all smart clean cars with lovely drivers and the bill is charged to your bank. I can only speak for Nice as it's the first time I have used them. The airport journey was 10 euros cheaper than the normal taxis. The whole week cost us less than hiring a car.
Anyway back to Vista Azzurra.... I wouldn't call the accommodation rooms, they are more like suites/apartments. Very spacious, clean and stylish but homely. Towels and some toiletries are there, which is great if you're travelling with a budget airline which restricts baggage.
Breakfast is plentiful and different nationalities tastes in tea and coffee are catered for. You feel welcome wandering around the rooms and gardens and even made use of the washing line for a few things I rinsed through.
The pool was cool but not cold and I made full use of it.
There is a full pool house, kitted out with a kitchen and dining area, fridge/freezer and sink etc where you can store food and cook, and of course chill some of the local wines. Crockery etc is all in there.
Cathy goes about her daily routine, on hand if you need anything, but never intrusive. Her English is very good and Michel understood most things with a bit of signing. We had co guests during the week, but there is enough space to be private if you wish. We were blessed that both sets of guests were lovely, and glad we introduced Brenda and her husband to the delights of Pineau. (You are also very welcome here Brenda).
Recommend Segway along Nice Promenade de Anglais and Le Brasserie Garnier to eat nearby. We will be back, it was quite an emotional goodbye as Cathy, Michael and Sushi become your friends. Thank you Cathy, you're a star. X

Room Tip: Top room with double balcony.
