You can travel on a budget without having to sacrifice your food options. Today I traveled to Nice, France. Nice is the capital of the Alpes-Maritimes department on the French Riviera. The first thing that usually comes to mind when you mention Nice is “expensive.” Not saying that it isn’t, but if you have traveled to NYC, Nice would be less than that. Yes, I said less. However, food on the French Riviera will run you a pretty penny, unless you know where to go. I’m not a eat-at-McDonalds-While-Traveling type of person. No offense to those who do, but I rather go there to use the free WiFi. Like why would you travel so far just to eat at McDonalds? But digress, I found this pretty cool spot called #smartdelightroom that is definitely worth checking out. Fabien is the owner and he runs his eatery with personality, character and charm. He made sangria just for me to pair with my burger - a special burger he had to prepare because I don’t eat meat. He did it all with a smile and jovial personality. My sangria, burger and fries came up to €9. He chatted about his love for Nice and danced to J Balvin in between. Check out the disco tech bathroom 🤣 He has plenty of options and the price and quality of food is superb 👌🏽he makes special milk shakes and smoothies just for you. If you’re in Nice, visit his eatery - you won’t regret it and tell him Fifi sent you 😀. I would give this place twenty stars if I could

You would go here for the service alone! I didn’t catch the man’s name but he was so welcoming and extremely attentive, made the experience so enjoyable. Food is a delight also! Would definitely recommend

We got there because TripAdvisor and it was assertive, we found what we was looking for... it was super good and the attention was incredible, the guy was really nice and he even gave us really good tips to do here in Nice.

One of the best burgers I have ever tried! Definitely recommend!!! Prices are reasonable too comparing to other places in Nice.

i first visited the Smart Delight Room shortly after it opened, some seven years ago, when I dropped in by chance and the owner, Fabien, served the perfect breakfast. Since then I try to visit whenever I am in Nice and have never been disappointed. Yesterday's meal was the Dish of the Day - grilled chicken with herbs de provence, salad, goat cheese croutons and french fries. Delicious. Fabien serves his customers with courtesy and a friendly smile and we just keep coming back. The super-clean and funky toilets deserve a special mention!
