We have eaten at Capitaine Cook since it opened in the early 1980's, at least every 2-3 years. We ate there again last week! It is as good as it gets, fresh, full of flavor. The owners (chef and front) are awesome and friendly like always. They never let us down. We cannot wait for the next visit.

Lovely variety of boullabaisse - full of fish - included in the 32€ menu which also included oysters, cheese, delicious desserts and a local liqueur. Very pleasant meal and good friendly service. Best meal we had round Nice.

Wow wow wow. Visit this husband and wife restaurant. It is out of this world. Not on sea front and takes a lot of finding. Worth it ten times over

We had the 3 course menu for 28 Euro and felt it was a bit too much for us.

The fish soup, fish pie with cheese and chicken curry were tasty but heavy (too much butter and cheese, very salty)! Desert was too much on top of that and ok. Was nice it was home made.

The owners were very friendly, always smiling but the service was slow and I had to serve myself the wine all along through the evening. I also didn't like the "sales pitch" for the home made liquor that was offered "from the house" with the title of buying more for home :)).

For a simple bistro & non pretentious location look, but ok food, we had to pay 120 euro which is not "convenient" at all as price, compared to other places around. Drinks were extremely overpriced!

But we had a nice evening after all...

This is an unpretentious restaurant run by a husband and wife in the small village of Saint Jean Cap Ferrat. It is a family style bistro. The decor is a bit dated but it fit the restaurant. The food was excellent. I had a crab starter and then grilled Sea Bream. The Sea Bream had an excellent sauce that enhanced the flavors. It came with vegetable ragout, green beans, peas and potatoes which were all perfectly cooked. I highly recommend this restaurant.
