We stayed here for a weekend in April and we loved it, the view from the room was spectacular and the balcony was great for watching the world go by. The staff were so friendly and helpful, they recommended restaurants for us and even phoned to book us a table. The room was clean and spacious.

This couldn’t be better for a short stay in one of Europe’s most vibrant, interesting and diverse cities. The rooms with balconies overlooking the old port offer stunning views, either through the floor to ceiling windows or at the little table on the terrace. Great for people watching while you reflect on a day’s walking or visiting galleries and museums. The rooms are very well equipped, quiet, comfortable and a decent size. The staff are friendly and very helpful (lots of advice on interesting areas to visit restaurants etc). We didn’t opt for the breakfast (pricey as in many hotels) but popped round to the streets behind the hotel for coffee and croissants in the local cafes.

Great location right on the old port. Taxi from airport was 70 Euros.
Staff friendly and helpful. Based on previous TA reviews, I requested a room on the higher floors to avoid noise from the harbour at night. They put us on the very top floor – great views.
The room was large and the bed was comfortable. The bathroom had 2 basins, liquid soap and moisturiser and a hairdryer. Separate shower with good pressure which was great. Hook for my shower cap was on the wall – excellent.
Two light bulbs had gone – one in the bathroom and one in the wardrobe area. Neither were replaced whilst we were there. We wondered why the cleaners had not noticed this? The handle fell off the bathroom door a couple of times but my husband was able to fit it back on.
Breakfast was a buffet and was pretty good overall. Coffee was out of a machine and not so nice. For a 4 Star hotel I would have expected proper coffee.
Overall we had a very enjoyable stay.
Quick word on Marseille itself – there is quite a bit to do but we struggled to find enough restaurants around the old port. It looks like there are a lot but most of them are just bars and many are outdoor seating only. It was actually quite chilly so we didn’t want that but preferred to sit down to a proper meal in a proper restaurant inside. We found a couple of good ones but not much else. You would need to look in other areas of Marseille I think.

I stayed in this hotel for 5 nights and I would love to return. The views were amazing. I could have sat and looked out of the window all day. It is very central for the city and boat trips. There are lots of restaurants and places to eat nearby. Staff members are very helpful. My room was great with a very comfortable bed and a bath. The breakfast had a good range of food and the hotel décor was very stylish.

I rated this hotel "average" because of the view from the bedroom. Period. For a 4-stars hotel the hotel is lacking in many ways. Checking was chaotic as many groups arrived at the same time, and even though we were there waiting for hours, they checked us in last. There was only one person at the front desk who kept on telling us "this is the last room I have" even if our reservation was made several months ago. We were given a room on the first floor (the lobby would be ground floor). While the bedroom was standard, the bathroom was just terrible. It's the kind of bathroom where you shower right on the floor next to the toilet and tiny sink (no barrier between shower and the rest). Needless to say the whole bathroom would be soaked after a shower. The bathroom looks old and dusty, I had to sanitize the hair dryer and the rest. It was highly uncomfortable to use the bathroom. Even if we don't stay in the room much, I would have not picked this hotel if I had seen the bathroom that was given to me. For a 4 stars, nothing else was provided free of charge. You have the option of having a modest breakfast brought to your room at 20 Euros per person! I think the hotel is overrated, the view and the colorful decoration in the lobby get all the attention to overshadow the aged and poorly kept hotel.

It's totaly understandable that arriving in the same time that groups is not pleasant and we're sorry for the wait at the reception.
Concerning the room, we regret that the room category booked disappointed you and we kindly recommend you to verify the description of the room booked for your next reservation. indeed, the room you booked ( Deluxe room) is located in the low floor of the hotel , first or second and propose italian shower for PRM people.
We have other room category bigger and on higher floor that would have been more adapted to yours expectations .
Also, our 24h reception is at your disposal for any disconveniences during your stay, feel free to approach them.

Great location overlooking the port. Outstanding views. Nice sixties vibe going on here in the interior design - furniture and artwork. Helpful staff. Excellent breakfast in lovely room, again first rate views. Only downside was, even though we were on the 6th floor, there's was quite a bit of night time noise from the street. Otherwise, very much recommended.
