We stayed at the hotel for one night & it was an enjoyable visit. The front desk personnel were extremely nice. From the train station , a cab could only take use half way because the Tour du France was being held in the Old Port area of Marseille. Long story made short, we lugged our luggage over 2 miles up to the street to across from the hotel. I jumped 2 barricades & went to the front desk &and told them that we needed their help. Two bellmen went to my wife & passed our luggage over 2 barricades & brought it to the front desk. Very nice. We were so tired, we decided to eat at the casual restaurant in the hotel. We both had steak frites & the meal was delicious. Our room was on the second floor, but had a patio with a great view of the old port. Restaurant had a outside seating so we watched night fall in the old port. Our room was comfortable with a big bathroom. The staff was very attentive to our needs. Pleasant visit after a trying time getting there.
