It is incredibly well situated, right by the Vieux Port. It's such a central location, making it easy to get to anywhere, the Panier, and all other old neighbourhoods. The staff is always great as well. The breakfast is very well appointed.

We stayed here 1 night. Hotel is the usual fairly basic 2 Star set up. Bedroom was very small and just managed to take the double bed. It had a nice side view of the old port.
Staff were friendly and helpful. Rooms were clean. Roof terrace had good view but no bar. We had a car and parking was ok with a reduced charge at a car park 200m from hotel.

The Hôtel Hermès Vieux Port is, from my point of view, fantastic! Steps from Marseille's old port (i.e., in Marseille's historic and touristic heart), this hotel has much to recommend it: The roof deck, open 24/7 (and with a bar on weekend evenings) is a delight. The breakfast buffet isn't the most extensive I've ever seen, but it holds a very nice array of different hot and cold dishes -- including some wonderful cheeses. The rooms are simply, but very efficiently, furnished, and many (all?) offer a just a bit of a side view of the harbor. It's staffed 24/7, and all the staff I encountered spoke English well; I'd describe them as commendably helpful. If I'm ever fortunate enough to return to marvelous Marseille, I will definitely try to stay here again.
