We have stayed two times at this hotel and had a great stay on each occasion. It is centrally located in a pedestrian area and near everything you would want to do in the city center. The staff is truly on duty all the time and ready to assist in any way, including welcome you with a glass of champagne. Rooms are clean and nicely maintained. The only drawback is that the hotel does not have parking (I suggest the underground garage connected to the tourist information center). Moreover, to get to the hotel, GPS is only partially reliable, as the last leg of the trip you should just discard it and follow signs for the tourism office. Once you are there you are extremely close (a stone’s throw), so get your bearings and a code from the hotel to permit the street barrier to descend and allow you to pull up to the front to unload. Once you figure it out you will be happy you chose this hotel. Bonne séjour.

We stayed for one night on a long journey south. The location is great for walking out to shop or eat. Although there was parking locally we pushed the boat out and opted for valet parking (around £20) which meant that after dropping off our bags the car was taken away to secure parking (we had a lot of stuff in the car) and brought to the door at the required time on the day we left. Our room was a basic rate but spacious, comfortable and quiet with a superb bathroom. Incredibly comfortable bed and linen. The breakfast (extra cost) was great with a huge selection of food.Staff were very attentive and helpful - our bags were carried to our room. On the day we left it was very hot and we were given two bottles of cold water for our onward journey. All in all a relaxing, trouble-free stay.

We had a great stay at the Grand Hotel Grenoble Centre. The hotel is very centrally located with quick access on foot to many restaurants, shops, bakeries, etc. The rooms are clean, fairly spacious, and well furnished and decorated, and the bathrooms are very chic. The beds are comfortable and have a safe, mini fridge, television, phone, air conditioning, and closet space. Windows open onto the street below, but, since the street is primarily pedestrian only, there is little noise to bother you while you relax in the room between excursions or after a night out. The breakfast at the hotel is a buffet with many options and all of them delicious. The staff is very friendly, courteous, and available (I must give a shout out to the receptionist Cindy who gave us many suggestions for restaurants around Grenoble and made reservations for us our first night in Grenoble at L'Epicurien). I would definitely recommend the hotel to anyone planning a stay in Grenoble.

Room Tip: Rooms overlooking Rue de la République will infrequently have a bit of pedestrian noise.

We loved this hotel. Stayed here for three days last week. Superb location, good breakfast and terrific staff. We had a problem with our shower not draining and although not fixed while we were there (due to parts not being available on a Sunday) the staff was very responsive (at our door within 5 minutes of being alerted to the problem) and offered to move us to a different room. Comfortable room (GIANT pillows) and lovely balcony overlooking the bustling city streets. Front desk very helpful with directions, recommendations and booking reservations for dinner. Hotel is not inexpensive but well worth the price. Highly recommended.
