We arrived late evening and were out the next morning as part of our car trip thru Europe. It had a car park which was very much needed though it was small and cars were parking all over the place. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Clean and comfortable. As others have noted, this is a far distance from the Old Town, but we knew that having planned ahead of time to drive into the city and park. We did not opt for breakfast. Some road construction which made getting to the entrance a bit tricky.

We stayed two nights here and the found the staff pleasant and helpful. One reason we chose this property is because we were driving a rental car and if affords free parking. Be aware that it is a 15-20 minute drive from this property to the old town.

The party included me, my son-in-law and grandson for the F1 Grand Prix in Hockenheim weekend. We stayed 2 nights. I must say it was one of the best small hotels I have stayed in. The family room was very comfortable with air-con, coffee making facilities with a machine AND a kettle. ( Take your own tea bags for the room ). No fridge.
Breakfast was very surprising. A full continental style buffet with an exceptional array of cereals, meats, cheeses, jams, fruit etc but at the end of the row, surprised to see scrambled eggs, bacon and sausages. They also had English breakfast tea, along with the usual infusions, and in a tea pot . Hoorah ! Definitely no complaints from me re breakfast.
The evening meal menu is not extensive but caters for all and I must say what we did have was excellent.
As for the staff, I have yet to meet anyone more friendly or helpful. Lovely people who went out of their way to make sure we had a nice stay.
Would I stay here again ? Absolutely. A lovely hotel in a lovely part of Germany.
Make sure you take a trip into the Aldstadt. Tram stop is 50 metres from the hotel. €4.70 for an all day ticket which you can buy at reception. Visit the schloss Heidelberg and take a walk down the Main Street. Well worth a visit.

Quite a distance from the city centre, the saving grace for travellers here is a large carpark and regular trams into the centre, about 15 minutes away. The hotel offers an excellent breakfast and a very good restaurant. It's possible to buy either tram tickets or a Heidelberg Card from reception - the latter offering exceptional value for money with unllimited travel to and around town, plus entry to the historic castle via a funicular, as well as numerous other perks, at just €15 per person. English speaking staff are very friendly and helpful.

The bedroom we had on the 2nd floor was cramped as the bed was set at an odd angle and the shower room could do with an overhaul - the basin plug was broken and the basin itself was stained. The bathroom door was so narrow I had to slip through sideways. There is no air conditioning, though a fan is provided. Wi-fi was patchy. There was no fridge, and the safe had old fashioned dials!

There was a coach party in at the same time as us, so the breakfast selection was rather depleted - the hotel really could have done with more staff when they have so many people to deal with. Overall, looking rather expensive at around €112 per night and needing refreshing now. My score ideally would be between average - which it is not - and very good - which it falls short of.

On arrival found parking at the back of the hotel. The lady at check in was lovely and gave some great advice for trips around Heidelberg. This is in a great spot. It is quiet but close to the tram that runs through to the city centre.
We had a family of 5, so had to book two rooms which is okay for teenagers. The rooms were clean and quiet. The restaurant and the breakfast were great.
I would stay here again but it is a shame that they do not have a family apartment.

Room Tip: The rooms at the front of the hotel have the nicest view over the residential area.
