Invited to opening weekend of Oktoberfest with 11:30-3pm sitting I needed a convenient spot with easy access to the airport and venue, preferably at modest rates. This hotel ticked the boxes and did not disappoint. It's a 3 minute bus ride on #635 to doorstep of hotel and 5 minute walk to S-Bahn with 45 minute connection to the city centre. The hotel was well appointed and well cared for. Staff were friendly and efficient. Gold membership got me a free room upgrade and free drink at the bar. The room was large and well equipped though TV smaller than typical of this standard hotel.

I stayed for a night arriving into the airport late. The hotel was easy to get to and the room was all you need for a night's sleep. Breakfast was good and a short walk to the S-Bahn was very useful for getting to the office the next day.
Staff were friendly and helpful.

We stayed at this hotel for one night and although the hotel was ok we were very upset by their practice for charging the currency your credit card is issued in rather than Euros and not asking first. Frankly this is a bit of a con because the exchange rate is much worse than the normal rates the CC issuer offers. This happen twice to us the first time I missed it but later on we had a meal and our sever tried the same thing. We complained to reception the next morning but were told that as they settled each night they could do nothing. They may settle each night but they could have reduced our nightly charge. Just so readers understand we lost around 10 Euros on the transaction so if they are doing this to every customer it is a very nice earner and very underhand.

I can understand that you are a little bit angry.
But to be honest there are no disadvantages for you.
We are in contact with the company Concardis (Payment Service Provider) and they assured us that the payment conditions are the same for the guests.
For both payment methods you have similar the same exchange conditions.
We will check this again with the provider company Concardis.

Needing a little rest for the family and kids. Bags a plenty. We were told we could check in at 9am. We arrived. No clean rooms. This place is overpriced, inconvenient and unaccommodating. Go to the Hilton. You will save on transfers. May even get a room when you are told you are allowed to check in.

Canceled a week ahead of time, they refused to refund. They refused to even communicate, or change dates, or anything. Travel plans change. These guys are just greedy. Won't be using novotel ever again, their customer support, policies and convenience are zero.
