There are so many other good restaurants in Nürnberg. Just close by is "Die Trappe". Super nice and very good food. Creperie du Chateau felt like a bad dream. A super bad ticket for a food-theater. The room has a bad smell inside. The taste is general a waste of time and the food is a waste of stomach space. All in all you can spend less than the 140,- EUR we spent in another place and be much happier.

Do not think its a Creperie, its an experimental restaurant with very strange dishes at a high price.
Very new dishes, but not really french, neither crepes.
Service only in german and a little arrogant. Very expensive and the dishes really small.

Creperie Du Chateau is located in a slightly hidden side-street (Gasse) near the Nuremberg castle (Burg).

We had the 'Tarte de Flambe' (Flammkuchen / thin pizza-like dish) and some amazing white wine. Their crepes are pretty good and are decent value for money. The pricing is slightly on the higher side, but the quality is rather good, so maybe its all worth it. And I guess you end up paying for the location, which is the best part. Try and grab a table from the limited outdoor seating on the cobbled street.

The service was OK. They seem to be short on staff, which would be OK if they would place some bread with dips for us to while away the time in between.

We plan to go there again in winter and get a feel of the cozy atmosphere inside.

This is supposed to be a gourmet place, so I guess you should expect to be amazed and not well-fed. Unfortunately, we were hungry, so we were sad. The food was good and the presentation was interesting--big, black plates with colorful dabs of foods. The price matched their opinion of themselves. It's popular, so some folks must like it, but I'd go around the corner and find something else next time. Enjoyable for trying once.
