Just a plaque on the wall. Go to Poland and see Mr. Shindler's factory, that is humbling. They have shops down below and they only lived in the home for one year. The German people were unhappy with what he did for the Jews.

We just wanted to view because there is so much history with what Schindler did. This is the house he lived at for awhile. He was not really liked by the people in the town after Germany lost the war.

I love Schindler and what he did for the Jews, so I enjoyed seeing where he lived. I learned that the German people were cruel to him and his wife so they only lived here a year.

We visited Regensburg as a stop on our river cruise. Our guide walked us by Mr. Schindler's home where he and his wife Emille lived for several years. The enormity of the impact that the Schindlers had on the lives of so many people is absolutely astounding. And to just visit this place and stop to remember them and their roles in history was incredible.

If you have seen the film 'Schindler's List' you will be aware of the good works of this man during World War II. If not it is worth getting a copy of this moving film. There is really only the plaque to see on the building where Oscar Schindler lived for a time. If on a guided tour the guide would tell you about him.
