We ended our week long walk of the King Ludwig's Way, reserving three rooms for our group of five. The location is ideal on the end of the walking street in the old part of Füssen, and also a couple of blocks from the train station. The staff couldn't have been more helpful in recommending restaurants, helping with our train departure, and even visiting our room to help when we couldn't find the World Cup soccer game that we knew was on.
The room and the hotel is quirky in design. It was fine although not really to my taste, but the website shows exactly what you are going to get. There are period costumes displayed in the hallway which were mildly interesting (not my thing). We had two Hohes Schloss Doppelzimmer rooms and one Via Claudia Classic Einzelzimmer room. The Schloss rooms were roomy, our view of the hills was over multiple rooftops and over the courtyard that was under construction (which didn't cause any issues) so not very attractive at the moment. However, we had a quiet night and slept very well. The person in the single room was happy enough with his choice.
Breakfast was the best we had in Germany with a multitude of choices. The food quality was excellent. Overall I would highly recommend this hotel.More
