We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights. We found the staff excellent - efficient, friendly and courteous. Our large room ( Turm 3) had a small balcony and the window had a view of the mountains beyond. The breakfast was delicious and plentiful - a buffet with good variety. We ate in the restaurant one night and the meal was extremely good and to be recommended.
The hotel manages to combine character and history with all the modern accoutrements necessary for a pleasant and comfortable stay.

Standard room with a screwy lock system. Nice bed and shower. Squeaky floorboards and some of power outlets would not accept our new adapter. Older women at reception was extremely helpful and very pleasant. Younger restaurant wait staff was very nice and very efficient. Older lady not so much.

Room tip: Very quaint and homey.

Stayed three nights in a turm room with a balcony view of mountains. Room was a bit faded, nice bathroom and wc, but hard beds. Good location for personal auto tour of area including konigsschloss and Linderhof schloss. Nice German local restaurant. Next to old town, so good placement in town.

We recently visited Fussen to see the King's Castles. We enjoyed our stay in this beautiful area of Germany. The hotel was good. The staff were helpful and the room had lots of space. Breakfast was excellent! We arrived by car and the hotel is very easy to find and the free parking is very welcome. A couple of things to mention. The walls between our room and the one next seemed quite thin. We could hear the kids loud and clear. Our room faced the road to the castles and a that can get very noisy. Overall, a good choice for staying in Fussen.

Snuggled in the middle of two streets the location of Hirsch is perfect for walking in the old part of Fussen while giving you access to the castle attractions just down the road. Market next store. Multi generational family, mostly run by the women of the family, this hotel is classic Bavaria. Clean, efficient, well run. Pub/restaurant offers excellent and authentic Bavarian food at high quality. You can tell it is good by the locals that frequent the bar. Rooms were clean and attractive (Room 2 was theme room, nice view out the back of mountains and a tiny porch.) Well worth the Euro's and when in Bavaria Fussen is worth several nights....at the Hirsch of course. Danke

Room tip: Ask for back room and opposite side of street if available.
