We had a great stay at Prinzhotel in Rothenburg. Great location just inside the wall and close (2 min) walk to P4 parking lot (discounted to 3 euro for day from hotel as well). We were in the family room with bunks that had stars above... the kids loved it. Large room, comfortable beds, nice and clean bathroom. Only negative was no AC although we did have fans in the room. Also had to pay for wifi which is a bit old school.. most hotels have free wifi for guests. Loved Rothenburg city... definitely recommend at least an overnight to get a feel for the city minus the many, many, many tour bus day trippers.

Dear ednakovacs,

Oh, what a lark for the kids:-)

We have especially invested in this family room so much money - even with moving starry sky effects in the bunk beds, to make it real fun for the kids. We are actually thinking about AC for some rooms to offer even more standard.

But in order to do that, we have to earn our investments. And there we are again. Free breakfast, free WiFi, free parking that is all possible with much higher rates. Things can be then very easily included. But with our competitive rates we have to draw somewhere a line.

I remain with a "twinkle twinkle little star, how I wonder where you are..."

An impressive family run hotel. Very clean, well kept, pleasant staff willing to do anything for you. Food simple yet terrific. Bar open til late. But keep in mind this is a family run"boutique" hotel and when they shut down for the night, it is locked down until morning. The hotel is inside the walls of old Rothenburg and it mirrors the town, it shuts down tight for the night around 11pm weekdays. I would recommend to anyone looking for a taste of "old Germany"

Dear Robert,

Yes, "shut down" can be very mediaeval in Rothenburg...

We also joke sometimes and say that pavements in town are folded and raised until next morning. But for that you have an incredible wonderful silence in the city, which is unusual to some guests - it is like walking in very big living room.
We thank you for the very nice comments about our hotel and look forward to welcome you again in the Prinzhotel.
Best regards

The hotel is quiet nice and the rooms are really cozy.
There was problem with the elevator but it was solved after a few hours.
Good breakfast and really well located.
I would like to stay there again!

Dear RuiakaBugie,

Thanks for the cozy rooms statement - we like that.
Elevators have to be serviced some times, to ensure a high security and reliability standard, so I am glad it did not take too long for you.
And yes, we would like to welcome you back.

Best regards from the Prinzhotel

Dear Andrea,

Thank you so much for your stay and very nice rating.
Cheap rates, hmmm, I have to perhaps raise the prices... :-) Good, that we had at least have some kind of contribution from the WiFi - it eases the pain ;-)
Looking forward to your "again return" .

Stayed at Prinzhotel a week before Christmas and loved the location, just inside the old walled city of Rothenburg ob der Tauber. Hotel was comfortable and great value for the price. We arrived early, and they tucked our luggage away for us. Had suggestions for things to do and places to eat. Told us where to park and got us a discount for the parking. Room wasn't luxurious but very comfortable; large private bath. Anything inside the walled city is going to be convenient; this was just next to the wall but, because it wasn't in the center of town, was quiet. We opted not to include breakfast and each morning, walked about 2-3 blocks to a coffee shop. Would stay here again anytime. Only negatives - parking not included and extra charge for internet access.

Room Tip: Overall location is quiet. Elevator gives easy access to upper floors. Sometimes heard people walking up to the 5th floor past our room.

Dear Ruthin,
Thank you for staying with us. What a shame you did not try our scrumptious breakfast buffet. The town encourages guests to park outside so tourists can have less cars on their holiday pictures :-) Sorry, but parking is never included and is such a little fee. Looking forward to your next visit.
