Nice hotel but not well heated ( in winter ).
Full size glass in room wall side ( for nice view to street ) is good for summer but in winter keeps the room rather cold .
Room was average in size and so was breakfast.
Location was ok and very close to a metro ( U bahn ) station .

Room Tip: ask to chose a room if possible

The most disgusting place I have ever been to in my entire life!
Foul, dirty, squalid. Floors were full of grime. Blood on the sheets. Horrible rooms.
Loud construction work from 7 am in the corridor!
The staff are criminals! This hovel deserves to be shut down. The police should close this down.

Stayed here before Christmas for two nights as a stop-gap measure as there was a problem with bookings at our original hotel. The location is excellent, the breakfast was basic but good and the price was certainly unbeatable but that is where the good points end. The rooms were filthy, the bed linen had blood stains and the floors were covered in dust. The staff seemed disinterested and unhappy with their jobs. Could not get a simple thing like boiling water for our child's bottle after 10pm. I know you get what you pay for but it should'nt be too hard or costly to get basic service and cleanliness right.

My fist review. We stayed 2 nights in this hotel last week and would not recommend it. The duvet covers had blood stains on them, the floor was thickly covered in dust, there was no kettle to be got to heat a baby bottle. The only kettle in the hotel was at the breakfast buffet which was locked up at 10pm. I went down at 9.50pm on our last night to get some hot water to heat a baby bottle and it was all locked up! I think if a hotel sells rooms with cots for babies it also should have a kettle in the room and a high chair for the breakfast but neither was there. The staff was not helpful and evening staff seemed to be either new or not interested in the job; seemed very incompetent and on personal phone calls every time I went to the reception. One hand holding the phone whilst cleaning the coffee machine with the other hand. Morning staff didn't know much about tourist attractions. We were glad to leave this hotel and won't be back!

Just returned from 4 nights in Berlin at this hotel, and think we found this to be a comfortable stay in a very basic room with a German tv. We had our own bathroom which was across the corridor. Staff were always very friendly, and the cleaners kept the place, and our room, in good order. The breakfast spread was pretty typical with meats, cereals and breads available. The downstairs shop is handy for other food and drinks we wanted.
The location was good, just a few minutes from checkpoint Charlie and the Topography of Terror, as well as the Holocaust memorial and Brandenburg Gate.
Had a bit of confusion with our checkout, as we needed to leave at 7.30am back to airport but staff did not seem to be around until 8:00.
Overall, this place was comfortable if you can do without the luxuries for a few days, and you just want somewhere cheap to stay with basic amenities.
