Owner description: Often a tough ticket, the Berlin Philharmonic features some of the best classical music to be had in Germany.

We were privileged to hear Blomstedt and Berlin Phil (Bruckner 3 and Mozart K448) then Simon Rattle (piano!) and violin, clarinet cello ensemble late night. Last minute tickets at the booking office (open from 5:30pm). Generally best to book beforehand by internet.

Acoustics are amazing; the orchestra is world famous, so one would expect a great concert; however the way the Hall is constructed makes it so much more special. It felt like in some "Shaman circle" :), with energy going through the roof. I was in Berlin for a weekend and went twice to hear this orchestra. I bought tickets last minute (some people were selling extra before the performance) - it is a bit of a hassle but possible to do, so even if you do not have tickets - give it a try :).

Acoustics here is perfect. And the design of the place is so interesting and also practical, allowing large groups to move about with ease. It is an impressive building, as you'd expect in this city where music is so important.

We went to see the facility as much as to jear the music. It did not disappoint. I recommend this as a nice ending to a tiring travel day. Relax in the wonderful acoustics and beautiful music.

If you can get concert tickets, go! This venue has outstanding acoustics. If you do not fancy concerts, take a look at this concert house. It raised a few eyebrows when it was first built, and the Berlin folk promptly gave it the nickname "Circus Karajani"- after the conductor Herbert von Karajan. The structure remains a spectacular landmark of Berlin.
