It's a very average property, if you just have to sleep there, it may be OK.
I had a knee injury and informed the property about it, and yes i received a confirmation too that my message has been conveyed. But when I checked in, they offered me a room on fourth floor, there are no elevators and you have to drag your luggage all the way up. This caused me a hell lot of inconvenience and the reception staff was not at all cooperative, rather they were denying that they didn't receive any such request. The hostel is in old building & cleanliness is not up to the mark. There were two lockers in the room for 6 persons.
The location is good, next to metro station. There are lot of food spots nearby.
The façade of the hostel is lovely: it's orange with nice wall paintings. The common area was nice too, with a sofa and some tables. When you arrive you can leave your luggage for free; the same when you have to do the check out. The prices are cheap and the location is very good. It's not far from the bus station (it takes a short time with the subway) and it's well connected to centre with the S-bahn (the closest stop is Charlottenburg) and with the underground too (Wilmersdorfer Str.). In addition in that area there are lots of places where you can eat something.
Moreover if you want to keep your food fresh to use the fridge you have to pay an additional cost (if I'm not wrong 5 €). The breakfast is not included but you can have it paying an extra fee. I can't tell you about the quality of the food because I didn't try it.
I spent there two nights in a mixed dorm. My room was spacious and there was also a washbasin, a mirror, a table, some chairs and lockers, which have been very useful. There was a shared toilet with two showers and a water closet on each floor. In that period it was ok because it was low season, but probably in peak season you have to queue to use it.
The staff was nice (more or less). The wifi connection worked well enough but everytime I went out my mobile phone automatically logged out and I had to log in again when I came back.
it is very nearby the metro station. They are good shopping facilities, restaurants etc around. The price is good, there is also the option of breakfast. The room was very poor but we have it only for sleeping so it was enough
Came here as it was close to the bus and train stations. Was cheap at 13 Euros a night and has all the basics as well as a including kitchen and wifi. The main men's toilets however seem to be out of action where we were staying leaving a single bathroom with shower(honestly pretty poor push button shower) and toilet. This wasn't a problem while I was there as there weren't many people but can imagine it will in the summer.
Find somewhere else with a better shower if you can afford it..
