Feinbergs is a nice quiet haven in busy Berlin., Just a few minutes walk from KaDeWe. Great atmosphere in a typical Berliner setting. The menu offers a great selection of Israelic specialities at a very reasonable price. Service is friendly and swift. Not very personal though. All in all a come back. Ups: food, price, atmosphere, setting, location and the quietness. Downs: they serve French fries and the lack personal engagement by the staff.

I have visited this restaurant before and gave it a top review. However after my visit on Saturday I was more than disappointed. The Falafel were dry, almost inedible and the humous was not fresh - pastelike and not fresh

So disappointed - this place was excellent - not only the food, but the service was slow and the order incorrectly taken

We had reserved an outside table (a must on a summer evening). Although most tables had not been taken yet when we ordered before 7 PM, it took more than half an hour to bring our apéritifs and starters to go with our drinks. We had planned to only order the main course when enjoying our apéritifs: however, as it took such a long time before we got anything to start with, after 25 minutes of awaiting our apéritifs we decided not to further await ordering the main course (some different waiters had already come up to us in the mean time, as we had obviously kept our menu's in front of us). This was probably a bad idea..... Because after the starter dip (and at the same time our apéritifs) eventually turned up, it took only a minute or so after finishing it that our main course arrived! Bad timing, at that moment we would have loved a little time between the courses..... That starter dip was actually quite good (although nothing out of the ordinary): a combi of baba-ganoush, matbucha, beetroot dip, tahini and labane cheese, served with numerous pieces of pita bread. Our main courses were so-so (spiced lamb meat, accompanied by oriental rice and an israeli salat). We should probably have ordered differently, but the menu's are quite incomprehensible wrtitten. The main course portion was also so-so. Deserts didn't look interesting enough to stay. All in all, quite a disappointed dinner, particularly for lacking proper
service. Wouldn't go here again.

Ate here last night ,turned up without a reservation about 17:30 ,eventually given a table but told they needed back by 8pm .Not a problem as we needed to leave by 7 to get to another appointment . Waited about 15 mins to get our order taken (restaurant half empty!) Then another 40 mins before for starter to arrive ,quickly followed by our mains ,which wasn't what we had ordered ! No apology or explanation from waiting staff .
