The museum is a monument to the German resistance movement and in particular to the men and women who sacrificed their lives for their beliefs. Housed in Bendlerblock which actually held the offices of the men who planned to kill Hitler on 20th July 1944 it is very moving the learn the fates and motives of these persons, many of whom were shot in the courtyard including Claus von Stauffenberg,Friedrich Olbricht and Werner von Haeren. The museum very well laid out with explanations in German and Englishmis free of charge.

Very interesting museum with lots of good exhibitions over 3 floors.
An imposing courtyard with memorials and statue. The same building as was which is unusual and correct.

If you are a history buff, this is a needed place to see concerning WW2. If you watch the movie Valkyrie, you see the final place where the German soldiers were assassinated and it took place in this courtyard. The plot to kill Hitler had failed, and this is the place where it generated from. Go see it.

Didn't visit the center just the courtyard but still an interesting area to have visited and a nice historical touch to add to an itinerary.

Interesting. These people were very brave. The amazingly small number of people commemorated maybe illustrates just how exceptional these rebels were, and also how thoroughly and ruthlessly rebels were punished and murdered under the Nazi regime.
