Great brunch,so much nice food to choose! The only problem is that sometimes its too full and the food area is too small.

My second visit with a long break in between was a comforting reminder that quality prevails, even in Berlin.

Relaxed atmosphere on a late spring Sunday morning watching the Prenzlberg crowd tend to their ritual stroll and brunch custom.

Service was fast and funny with a team of hip Russian guys and gals who obviously worked well together and enjoyed what they were doing.

Food was self service and despite a constrained buffet area a real pleasure as wave after wave of new visually stunning and tasty platters of food were brought out.

Food was predominantly Russian theme with Israeli touches and all you can eat for €14,50, which I consider to be excellent value for money.

Do go to Sunday brunch in the sunshine and either arrive before 9:30 or after 11:30, when the second sitting starts.

Don‘t go if aren‘t hungry.

This is a wonderful place to go for breakfast if you want something more interesting than bakery goods and coffee. They offer several mixed platters - mine included scrambled egg, smoked salmon, trout eggs wth blini, and other delicacies beautifully laid out. Coffee is good too! It's off the beaten track but easy to get to, only a few minutes walk from a tram stop (M2, Prenzlauer /Knaackstr.) The morning we were there in early May there were only a handful of other diners, the timeless decor was bathed in lovely morning light, and the terrace garden out front was equally inviting. We'll be back on our next Berlin visit.

Pasternak’s is an interesting blend of Russian and Jewish Ashkenazi food. We sat outside on a night with gentle weather – except for the rain (the awnings protected us well). The service was polite and efficient. The food was quite good. White asparagus was in season, so two of us both chose a lovely plate of plump white asparagus in hollandaise sauce, accompanied by potatoes (it’s Germany) and poached eggs. Another one of us had a generous portion of lamb chops with nicely prepared vegetables. Overall, it was a tasty meal at a reasonable price.

I have been to this fantastic Russian restaurant once before and It was an amazing experience so i thought If I like as much as I liked it last time , I will definitely write a review . On both times I had the same waiter/ host by the name of Martin, he was super nice and on my inquiry he suggested the Meat dish from the Day Menu ( Paprika and Meat with Mint Yogurt sause ) absolutely deliscious ... very reasonably priced with Salad or soup( I took the Salad), The service was fast and accurate in every way . Neddless to say I have found a new favourite restaurant . Highly recommended !!!!
