My partner and I were recommended this place by a Friend of mine who stays in Frankfurt and it certainly did not disappoint.

We ordered Wiener schnitzel, homemade veal bratwurst with creamed asparagus and 2 glasses of apfelwein to go along. Sit outside so you can bask in the sun and enjoy the afternoon Breeze or settle down inside cosy store ambience. The meal totalled €35.60 for the both of us.

Would definitely go back to this place if I visit Frankfurt again!

On a nice day, you can't beat Dauth-Scheider in Frankfurt's Sachsenhausen district for a quiet beer garden experience! The large outdoor area is covered with picnic tables. Pull up any available seat and a menu with arrive soon, if not already on the table. The traditional drink in this area is the apple wine, served from the pub's classic earthenware pitcher with etched glasses. We chose beer instead but saw many groups going with the apple wine choice.

My husband had the three bratwurst special with sauerkraut and potatoes, which he said was very good. I went for the eggs, potatoes and green sauce, as I had read about the sauce. Turns out it is like a cucumber dressing, very tasty! Happy that I chose it. The chocolate souffle was wonderful!

Two mains, two beers, and dessert came to 32 euros. Enjoy!

In and around the wonderful Sachsenhausen district you will find some amazing apfelwein taverns and Dauth- Schneider was one of the best we visited.
Walking in and my twin brother Stephen and I knew we would enjoy our visit,a massive multi roomed tavern with a great rustic look to it with bench seating and fantastic decor and furnishings,in keeping with the look the walls of this tavern has great rustic wall art that looks cool and the serving bar is very authentic ,the indoor beer garden complete with faux skylight looks superb ,this is were we choose to sit on our visit.
We were here on a Friday late afternoon and this tavern was busy,we got a nice table were a very pleasant member of staff took our order of an apfelwein each while we checked out the menu,the apfelwein was absolutely delicious,I love the tart,sharp taste of this traditional Frankfurt drink,it's just so refreshing,while sipping our drinks we chose one of the most traditional meals you could have in this part of Germany namely 4/2 boiled eggs,frankfurter green sauce with boiled potatoes,this is an iconic meal in Frankfurt and after a short wait our meals arrived and what a treat,the combination was outstandingly tasty,the green sauce was fantastic and coupled with our delicious apfelweins made for a wonderful dining experience.
After our meal we decided to have one more apfelwein which rounded off a great first time visit to this great tavern.
Dauth _Schneider is easy to locate on Neuer Wall in an area teeming with pubs, bars and restaurants and some amazing architecture and a major tourist destination.
Opening hours are;
Monday to Sunday,11.30am till Midnight.
A great authentic traditional tavern and well worth checking out.

Our German colleague advised this typical Frankfurter restaurant with apfelwein and lots of meat. The ambiance is nice, the apfelwein is okayish but omg the food ... i didn’t like it (no veg, not seasoned kind of boiles porc). But taste is personal of course.

The food is traditional Frankfurt and okay quality. There are better quality apple wine taverns, but Dauth Schneider is reliable if you are a big group, and they have plenty of outdoor seating in the summer.
