Wasn't sure when I booked this hotel. Actually thought it had a haunting quality. Upon arriving Imwas absolutely delighted with the friendly greeting and offers to help, with our stay. It's old but has charm. The room was quaint but clean and the bed was soooo comfortable! The breakfast was presented in such a beautiful way. The fresh fruit was delivered in a martini glass and everything you would want was there. They would hand cook your eggs upon request. The dining room was beautiful that opened up to a lovely garden. The neighborhood was nice and we found a fantastic Italian tattoria that was great. Homemade pasta. Being Italian, I appreciated the entire meal.
It's not a modern hotel but, depending where I travel, I prefer authentic. If you are a snob don't go there. But if you are looking for a nice place to stay and enjoy antiques and kind people, I recommend it highly. I would stay there again.More
