I love this hotel. As other reviewers have mentioned, it has real character: the Persian decor and theme extends to the finest detail, from the lovely ceramic sinks to the lamps to the carved, inlaid wood of the furniture. I am a huge fan of this style, and found the decorating and atmosphere to be a real delight. With so many bland, interchangeable. corporate hotels in Frankfurt, it was a joy to find something unique which really shows care and personality.
The room was also very comfortable and clean, with good A/C, and even included a small, appealing porch (rare among Frankfurt hotels). I enjoyed sitting on the porch in the evening, watching the trams go by.
I got a Hotwire "discount" room, and there was a strange sound coming intermittently from the ceiling which woke me up at one point, but I have a feeling this was some temporary mechanical issue in the A/C unit, and probably doesn't effect other rooms (and may have been fixed by now).
The location is great-- close to the train station, but on the quieter, southern side, comfortably far from the famous/infamous district to the north of Kaisterstrasse.
Finally, the concierges were extremely friendly, and provided a wake-up call at the requested time.
Overall, this was a great experience, and it will definitely be my go-to hotel in Frankfurt. Highly recommended.More
