Description: Opposite the cathedral of Trier in the courtyard of the Palais Walderdorff is our restaurant. Modern stylish decor invites you to pleasurable stay. When fresh, regional, Mediterranean cuisine with quality products, we pamper you at the highest level. Qualified service and an extensive wine list with a focus on the Moselle and France completes the culinary evening. On weekends, we will entertain you with additional discreet piano music.

Dined here as part of a group of 17 on a cycle tour of the Mosel. While the food was delicious we all felt that the service was a bit slow. We arrived at just after 7pm and didn't
depart till almost 10.
The staff however coped very well considering there were so many of us.

Good selection of local wines and very good meals. The location and service is very good, too. In summer you can sit outside.

Perhaps it was because it was a Monday evening - or maybe it was the "B-team's" night on - either way the service was NOT up to the standard that this restaurant aspires to or more importantly that the quality of the food deserves. Having ordered a bottle of white wine to start it finally appeared after the bread and Amuse Bouche and after the Entrees had been served. It finally arrived at the table (as did the red wine also ordered before entree) already open - a pet annoyance of mine !!!! However the food was absolutely fabulous - the group ordered fish, beef and lamb dishes and all were superbly presented and perfectly cooked. All in all the Chefs ought to push for serving staff who are trained well enough to befit the excellent standard of the food.

Not easy to find, but worth the effort. Although it is very close to the Cathedral (Dom), there is no indication which gate to take. Once inside, the stylish, quiet decor is very pleasing, classic colours with a modern twist.

Menu is nicely varied, some specials of the house, some variations on popular dishes and some all time classics. Wine list is also very nice, with lots of choice, some by the glass.

Service was professional and efficient, timing and pace were perfect, relaxed. Several amuses to get into the swing of things as well as a spoom to clear the palate between starter and main course, all very well done.

We chose coquilles for starter, cod and falafel as main and a dessert of rhubarb and a millefeuille au chocolat. All dishes were excellent, well prepared, pleasing to the eye and very tasteful.

We loved the Schlemmereule, its nice interior, relaxed atmosphere and great food. Don't miss this one, when in Trier!

The setting just off the Dom Square is very nice to be in. Food is rich and of great quality, befitting the general reviews of this restaurant. Service attentive albeit somewhat hollow. Would go again if wanted to fine dine in Trier, it's an awful lot better than what I've experienced in Luxembourg so far.
