The good things were: (1) plenty of car parking space; (2) comfortable bed; (3) convenient for the M4 motorway; (4) cooked breakfast

The bad things were: (1) tired decoration; (2) the shower control came off in my hand; (3) the shower was fixed to the wall, so it's necessary to contort oneself to rinse the soap off the less exposed parts of the body; (4) directions to the hotel are inadequate: you need a large-scale map to work out the complicated junction after leaving the motorway and to avoid going in completely the wrong direction; (5) it's a long walk to the nearest railway station, and that's on a minor line with trains that stop at every station; (6) the cooked breakfast did not offer a full English breakfast but only elements of one - scrambled egg and bacon, for example, or egg and sausage, but not egg AND sausage AND bacon AND mushroom; (6) the toast was soft and almost white - it must have been waved in front of the toaster, not put in it! (7) I certainly didn't want more "toast", but it would have been nice to be asked instead of having the plates whisked from the table before I had even stood up.

It's not an expensive hotel, but neither is it cheap, and I think we are entitled to better standards at that price. I would certainly not consider staying here again.

Room Tip: The road outside the hotel can get quite busy at peak times. It's not unbearably noisy, but a room at the back would presumably be quieter.

I stayed here Monday to Friday for three weeks.
For me it was a very basic hotel, dated but everything is in working order. There's a variety of breakfasts. There are a lot of workmen here as it's quite cheap and cheerful.

Not the place in my opinion to take a partner.

However, this hotel consistently was the cheapest around. Book direct with them for the cheapest deal.

Really does depend what you want, if you want a cheap and basic hotel you can't go wrong with this one.

Has free and good wifi. TV and sink in the room.

Rooms cleaned very day.

Has close links into Reading and not too far from the M4.

Basic but clean. The rooms are dated but functional, shower room very old fashioned but worked. Breakfast OK but nothing special. Room was on the front of the hotel so quite a lot of traffic noise. On the plus side, I ordered a single bed but got a double room for the price. Staff are friendly. Can't complain at the price.

Stayed here as part of work and it was nice, cheap and cheerful. The daily breakfast was a good spread and filling with a lot to go around. Will stay here again if working in the area and need somewhere to stay.

This is my fourth attempt to write a honest review but the words I want to use to describe this hotel I can't so trying to be politically correct me and my son stayed in room 49 he got in the single bed but was woken up by things biting him so being honest the bed needs to be removed so save yourself some money and sleep in your van it's cleaner the best thing about this hotel is the pub down the road the roebuck good food good beer football on and friendly lets see if this attempt gets printed
