The walk up this tower is not really worth it as it is located on one corner of the old town. New Town Hall or The Neues Rathaus was built after the Old Town Hall became too small for an ever-expanding city. It was built in neo-Renaissance style from 1905-1910. During the 1946 bombings this building was damaged but it was restored by 1952. This quick restoration left it's impact on the building and it lost it's harmony and balance. This was due to the fact that though the octagonal tower was redone perfectly, the wings were simplified to save time. Moreover each wing was completed in a different decade. This building has sone interesting statues like the lions guarding the golden gates, the Bacchus on a donkey and the golden man perched over the copper dome of the tower.
