Stayed 3 nights during a family holiday as a break from camping. Made our way from Denmark and had picked Lūbeck as worthy of a stay due to its UNESCO heritage status and a founding city of the Hanseatic League.
Parking is available for free at the side of the hotel, it costs for the underground garage but there is also free parking on the road outside. Staff were pleasant and helpful. The room was well appointed, clean and with decor depicting old newspaper articles on Lübeck. The breakfasts offered plenty of choice with unlimited coffee. The hotel has a decent pool which we all made use of and a small gym with a few cardio machines.
There is also a bar by reception which was nice.
Lübeck is worth a visit with its walled 'Altstadt'. We took a short river trip and although it may not be Rotenburg ob der Tauber or Bad Tölz as far as retaining its original history, it is worth spending time here. There are plenty of shops and restaurants here. Worth a stop if you're on the way down from Denmark back towards Blighty, as we were or perhaps as a starting point for a driving tour of the Baltic Coast.More
