The Casa Montecote is a finca complex about 5 miles from the beach on the beautiful Costa de la Luz in Spain.
It is a 10 minute drive from the stunning village Vejer de la Frontera and lies in the tiny village of La Muela. The location is
quiet and peaceful, the scenery beautiful, and the atmosphere is rustic and charming. There are about 6 little properties on the land, individual
houses and apartments, and there is a very small but pretty and deep pool and a sauna and small fitness room.
The interior of our apartment was basic but very sufficient. The very uncomfortable bed (one of us had to sleep on the floor) was a bit of a let down, but we had an absolutely massive roof terrace with the most breathtaking view, which we used often to sunbathe and barbecue.
The German owners have an organic farm, very small, and dogs and are friendly, and don't interfere very much, which we enjoyed.
They also put breadrolls on your door every morning, which is charming and costs only very little money.
All in all we found this slightly expensive (we paid about 600 Euros for a week), but the views and the quiet and relaxing atmosphere were worth it.
You must have a rental car when staying here to get around.More
