Casa-Pepa Fonda was offered for lunch as part of our group trip. Located in small village of Carratraca. They serve home made dishes, prepared right in front of you, in the family kitchen. Nice and clean place. Wine is complimentary - all you can drink! Food is delicious. Would be nice to return back! Because visiting this place was part of out trip, I was surprised to find out that if you are just a regular visitor, the price for lunch is only 9 Euro per person, with all that wine to drink!

This a very popular restaurant in the interesting village of Carratraca. There is no menu, the price is nine euros. For this price there is wine and water and numerous Spanish dishes, this offers excellent value if you like this kind of Spanish fare.
Next door you can get coffee and cake for one euro.

Wonderful place to spend an afternoon. Complimentary wine and water on the table, food just keeps coming until you've probably already had too much. Eat at Casa Pepa and retire next door to La Bocacha for coffee and drinks. Very Spanish and highly recommended.

If you want to feel that you have a personal invitation to dine in a family setting then this is the place to be. It is only a small restaurant providing very good, simple home cooking. There is no printed menu but a choice is offered for all three courses for only 8 euros.
The table is already laid with wine, water, casera and olives to be quickly followed by a basket of bread. The soup arrives in silver tureens which are left on the table for you to have a second helping if desired. This is followed by a choice of meat dishes served with chips, chorizo and even a fried egg if you so wish.!.Fish and vegetarian dishes do not seem to be an option but the servings are full of flavour and generous. There is a wide choice of home made desserts...all excellent. The dining is simple, cosy and intimate but it is best to arrive early even if you have booked. This café is so popular that queuing in the streets is well known.
Coffee is served in a delightful bar a fee bars away and comes with a slice of home made cake for only one euro.! The bar has a lovely sunny terrace, several sitting areas including a room with a huge open fire, perfect in Winter. This bar is open from 12.00p.m. Casa Pepe is open seven days a week.
